I purchased a smoked salmon to serve as part of our appetizers for the holidays. I usually just eat the salmon with crackers. Do you have any serving suggestions (serve with sauces, breads, etc.)?

I like to make it into lox gravy (kind of like how breakfast gravy with meat is made, just make a white sauce with the salmon in it) & serve it over toasted bagels. Maybe with sliced tomatoes on the side. Now I'm hungry!

Place the salmon in the center of a platter and serve the garnishes mounded around it. Garnishes would a mound or two each of nonpareil capers, chopped hard-boiled eggs, chopped sweet onion, and sliced tomatoes. On the side, I'd serve a container of whipped cream cheese and crackers or bagel chips or mini bagels.
