Wow, am I out of touch! And to think I was torqued a couple of years ago when I left a really nice headband at the Contemporary Steak House and no one turned it in. (And it was cold; I needed it.)
It's got to have been about 10 years ago now, I was in a restroom near the Liberty Tree Tavern. I closed the door and there on the hook was someone's fanny pack. The bathroom was packed. So, when I, the mom, and the niece and nephew left, I took it with me. We stopped at Guest Services on the way out of the MK. I thought the cast member's eyes were gonna pop out of her head when I turned it in and told her the location where I'd found it. I had never disturbed it because I didn't really want the owner to think I'd taken anything, but the cast member said a couple from Canada had reported it missing. I never really knew for sure, but it sounded like the owner and the pack were going to get reunited.
I had no idea stuff was missing at WDW. I always thought there was some kind of honor code that guests could enjoy the attractions and nobody bothered anything. Guess I'll have to be more careful--or less naive.
