Hi all! We've been to WDW too many times to count - always stay at deluxe resorts and twice took advantage of annual passholder savings at BWV 1br. Loved that washer/dryer! It's me, DH, DD7, and DS9.
I would love to get 350 points at BCV. That would give us a week at spring break in March (wouldn't go this year, but next year, so may wait anyway).
Does Disney ever get inventory back there, or am I better off going resale?

Also, we have a cruise booked for August. 7 night western (our first). We have 2 cat 4's booked, connecting with my FIL and MIL. I'm wondering if we DID buy this year, borrowed against next year, would the 700 points cover anything close to the cruise? It's costing about $6500 for our cabin excluding insurace and about $4000 for Inlaw's cabin. THis is getting hard to swallow. Monthly payments are just simpler, eh?

Also, for anyone who has 350 points, what is your monthly payment? I'm going to ask DH if he objects. The 2 br villas are almost $1000/night over spring break, so the DVC seems so much more logical if you go every year or so.

Thanks in advance for all advice!

Disney does get points back from ROFR. But from what I've heard they are smaller contracts that they get. I also heard that there is a waiting list for current owners for add ons. But you never know, talk to a Disney guide and see...otherwise resale will be the only alternative.

I've never traded for a cruise.....what I've read is that most here actually rent their points out and use cash to book the cruise. The Disney cruise apparently does not have a good point use value.

All depends on that purchase price. Resale for BCV could go from $82 to $90 per point. Through Disney $92 per point going up the end of march. So if you figure on the high side of $92 x 350 = $32,200 - deposit, financing ?. There are loan calculators on the net that you can input proposed numbers to get an approximation for your payment. Need to know the deposit - 10% 20% or more and how you may be financing, Disney is 9.75% with EFT and 10.75% for a mail statement.

Good Luck
