Seriously considering DVC.....

DH and I loved staying club level at AKL in April, that we went back in August! What are the chances of getting a DS-club level a "majority" of the times at AKV if we buy into DVC? AKV would be our home resort, would/could there be upset? Thoughts?

You can hope for a 10% chance of booking club level at AKV repeatedly and that may be too high of a number.

Don't by DVC for club level bookings, you will be disappointed.

If you want club level almost all the time then you will be disappointed or spend lots of time walking reservations. You will also need to plan at 11 months and not need to make any changes. Also in case you haven't stayed at the club level rooms they do not have good views on the DVC floor for club- you mainly get a roof view from some of the rooms and are on the 6th floor. You also cannot choose between pool or savannah view.

AKV Club Level consists of only five 2BR lockoffs. If all of them were locked off and rented as 1BRs and studios there would be a maximum of FIVE studios available to book and the studios are the most popular room type so they sell out very quickly.

AKV is a very large resort so you would be competing against a lot of other owners at the 11-month window to get one of those five studios. Any guest with an earlier check-in date than you has already reserved one of those studios for some of your dates before your 11-month window even opens. You will get lucky some of the time but not all of the time.
