Serenity Bay Beach changes

Just off the Fantasy on Saturday, Sept 19. While at Serenity Bay Beach, we were relaxing in front of the bar area and noticed a lifeguard next to some pylons about 50 feet away. A person siting next to us want over and was talking to them and came back and stated the coming soon will be changes. from the pylons to the left will be a "tween beach" with at 150 to 200 foot buffer in front of the bar, and then the Serenity Bay Beach .

This first pic shows the pylons. the next the buffer and the last where past where the path comes in will the the adult area. There were not a lot of happy people when they heard this.

Gosh, I hope not. How will it affect the Crew Member beach area?

What I want to know is, will adults be able to go to that beach too? My youngest is 13, where my other kids are all over 18 now. It would be nice to be able to be in that area too, since we all prefer Serenity Bay to the family beach area.

Typically, adults (other than DCL CMs) are not allowed in the kid's areas unless it's an Open House.

Blue arrow - entrance to buffet (actually outside the Serenity Bay entrance)
Orange arrow - buffet (with seating in the white area just below it)

So the tween beach is going to be on the left side, before the bar (red arrow)... Where there is a lot of trees?

That is correct, to the left of the red arrow, then 150 to200 buffer and the adult just to the right of the path to the beach

That's too bad. We had loungers in the area in front of the bar last time we were there. Love the location as it's close to the buffet, quieter (not as many people walking to and fro) and easy to access.

A little clarification question: a "TWEEN" beach or a "TEEN" beach?

I believe the talk several months ago centered around a teen beach (to replace the one they lost when the cabanas were built.

The ocean is big, but the Serenity Bay BBQ area is not. If the teens can also use the dining area, there may need to be expansion.

I to wonder about the dinning area. its so close to where the teen beach will be but if they get to use it then whats the point of serenity beach. it really will not be a quiet area at all.

Too close to Serenity Bay in my opinion. I also think that if they are doing this that it would be a better spot for the teens and give the current teen hangout to the tweens. The tweens do not currently have a spot other than hanging out in DaShade which is open to anyone.

One more reason to stop cruising with Disney and take my business to another line.
