Hey All,

After a couple of stays at Sequoia Lodge, this question is now bugging me....and I'm sure that someone :worship: will know the answer.

Every morning we go down for breakfast and end up in either of the resturants - noticing that some get breakfast in the Redwood Bar lounge - who are these people, and what have they 'purchased' to have breakfast there?.

Thanks

Iain

When we stayed there in October and we checked in we were told we had VIP breakfast in the Redwood bar. Over the week we began to wonder why :lmao:

We stayed in a Montana room but so did many others who didnt get their breakfast there. The only other thing was when I booked we used our shareholder card and the woman I spoke to was an absolute pleasure to speak to;)

I did wonder why as well - it was very busy that week so it was an absolute bonus :)

We had this last week! When we checked in we were told we could have breakfast anytime between 7.30 and 10 in the Redwood bar, there was never any queue and it was all very relaxed! The last time we went to Disneyland, in 2007, we had lots of problems some serious and we were told that the next time we went we would be given a "special welcome". I presume giving us this breakfast was part of it!

Oooh - I've been promised a special welcome in January - did you get any other perks?

The only perk I know we had because of the special welcome was a bottle of water in the room and chocolates and the breakfast. All the other things we assume were perks but are not sure! We were in room 6229 which has a fantastic view, right in the middle of the hotel and we could see the tower of terror and the Castle whilst we were sat on the bed. I know you can get anyroom with the Montana rooms but it's a lottery as to the view so it seems like we were given that room on purpose! We were also left a letter from the operations manager telling us to let him know of anything we wanted. Dressing gowns and slippers were in the room, we didn't have them on the Admirals floor which is a step up from the Montana rooms so :confused3 not sure if they were standard or what! Either way they were lovely after a shower!

The brekkie at the Redwood was the best though. Everyday we walked past huge queues for the breakfast on our way to the park, just after we had finished eating in the bar!

I suppose it depends on why you get the special welcome and where you stay. Ours was not that huge but when we stayed at the newport we pushed and got a free meal and we are also getting a free two night stay for 4 at the SL which we are going to use soon. So we didn't expect too much! I suppose if you are staying at the DLH it would be different as there is more as standard, so what we got as a perk you may well get as standard!

Hope yours is as nice if not better :)
