During our visit we can see WOC on weekdays at 8.15 or F/S/S later Like 9.15 or 9.45, is there any reason to do the later weekend shows instead of the 8.15 shows? We will be there Sept 7-18, would you do a dining package for WOC or just grab a FP?

If you haven't seen WoC, do the dining package at Carthay Circle for either lunch or dinner. The FP system is pretty bad, and requires you to get there pretty early to scout-out a spot. Generally speaking, WoC has pretty bad viewing areas all around. This is because the layout of the area sucks.

As far as the viewing time. It doesn't really matter. I say the closer to closing, the better. That way you can enjoy the whole park before you see the show.

Show time doesnt matter. I would just grab a FP and get there about 30 minutes before the show.

I would do the weekday show. 8:15pm is after the park closes so you won't be wasting much park time lining up and viewing the show.

We are doing the Carthay lunch package, but only because we wanted to eat there anyway. It is easy enough to get a WOC FP if you're around in the morning. You still have to line up for a good spot even if you get the package. The VIP viewing area may have the best spots, but it also has some lousy spots just like everywhere else if you're not there early enough.

There is no reason to do the later weekend show.

I would not do a dining package unless you already want to eat at DCA that day anyways.

Yipes! My hubby is 6'6" and I am 5'1".....so, will I be able to "see" any of this show? LOL. Reading a lot about how there really are no good spots and if you are short it is much more of a challenge....HELP! What to do?:confused3

I'm about 5'2" and had a great view :goodvibes There are plenty of good spots. You just have to make sure you get one of them.

We did the woc lunch at wine country (the least expensive woc package option) and although I probably wouldn't have paid that much money to eat there again without the package it was totally worth it to us for our first time seeing woc. We asked around cm's where we need to line up at (all dinning packages line up at the same spot so it made sense to us to choose the least expensive package) we grabbed a snack at a cart nearby and sat down about 15 minutes before they said they would allow us to choose our spots. We the cm signaled for everyone to get in a line we walked right up and were second in line and got the best spot in all of the pier for wow, right smack dab in the middlle against the railing. It was magical and totally worth it to us!

I agree - we have seen the show twice - once with a dining package and the second time with a FP.

We actually got a better view without the dining package.

We are going with a midweek show in two weeks time with a FP.

That's disappointing I was hoping the dining package was preferred seating. It sounds like it doesn't matter if you have a fast pass or the dining package what matters is getting there early enough to be in place for a nice standing spot.

There is no seating for WOC. And you are correct. The WOC Superthread explains this.
