Hi

Ive just seen someone elses thread which scared me a little! We are going to Disney next September, is it going to rain the whole time?:sad2:

Hi,

I honestly wouldn't worry too much - it's common to get afternoon storms this time of the year and generally they do not last too long.

Weather in September on average is hot and sunny with temps. in the high 80s/low 90s

I went in September 7 years ago and have to admit it was probably our wettest trip ever. That said it was still a great deal of fun!

Really don't worry, I just posted over on the other thread. Last September we were there for 6 weeks and only had rain on one day. But it is extremely warm in September.

We got back last week and the weather on our holiday was pretty great. We had a little rain most afternoons (only once while we were in a park) and a couple of evenings with heavy storms. We were there at the same time 2 years ago and the weather was fantastic then too.

When I went in July, however, we had lots of rain everyday, with at least 3 days of constant rain. You just never know in Florida.

As you can see by the replies you have had, the weather in September varies enormously.
The only time we went in September it rained nearly non-stop for the first week, but was fine the second week. Sorry, I'm not trying to frighten you here, it's just how it was for us.

I think we were pretty unlucky, I hope the weather is great for you.

If you want drier in florida you need to go when it is colder in the winter. This is the same as the carribean islands etc.

If it is really hot you will be glad of a shower. Hope you have a great time and come back here and tell us all about it.

Some friends of our came back a couple of days ago and said it was scorching hot. I've just checked the weather forecast for Saturday onwards (when we fly out) and it is thunderstorms every day.

We went out at a similar time last holiday and didn't get any rain at all during the day, only in the middle of the night. It really is hit and miss this time of year.

I was out there for a few days last week.
Very hot 95deg ish and never saw much rain.
There was a hailstorm that hit Orlando which even got the locals scared for a while. It looked pretty mean on the TV.

As others have said, very hot, very humid with periodic thunderstorms.

They was quite a bit of rain in the evening and night time last week, a few thunderstorms. During the day they was very little rain, it was very hot.

We have had all kinds of weather during our September trips. Most days you get a quick shower in the afternoon. It seems like when it did rain longer than that it has always been at night for us. It's very hot and humid though whatever happens with the rain. All of that said, September is our absolute favorite time to go. We're going later this year to meet up with family, but given our choice we'd always go in September...

hi

i have been to wdw 2 times in september and we had a few showers whilst there, and when it rains it rains, but like the other threads say it is quite good fun, plus the parks seem to become quieter, when it stops raining and the sun comes out it does not take long for the rain to go, we are also going next september. you can buy the ponchos (as we did), we have quite a collection of them now.

regards
nilrs

Hi, we arrived out here on Monday and are currently down on the SW coast. We had a few hours of really hot sun the last couple of days but last night it rained from about 6pm and has never stopped. There is talk now of a tropical storm about to kick off over next few days - oh joy - rained all summer back home, just our luck ;)
To be honest we usually come in September and we have always had fab weather - this is not as good, but you can't let that put you off - we're off to hit another mall in Bonita Springs today - may look for an umbrella :rotfl2: and then up to WDW tomorrow. Can't wait :yay:
