September Trip??

Tell me about you thoughts about traveling in September..We went in August-never again. TONS of rain and brutally hot and humid. Tried October, the weather was better, but it was crowded! Went once in September and again, the weather was bad ( last year). We had a lot of rain. Pouring, drenching rain and actually spent the last night just in our hotel because we had gotten so soaked all morning and just couldn't do it anymore
For various reasons, it looks like Sept again next year, if we go.

We have gone the past two Septembers in a row. It's hot, and you can pretty much count on rain daily because it's hurricane season. It's usually a heavy afternoon rain and then that's about it. We did spend a night at a MNSSHP in a light drizzle but it was fine.

We went last year late Sept-early Oct and had amazing weather! It may have rained a little, but not enough for me to even remember! We're going the same time again this year!

Hmmm, two different thoughts. I don't mind a little drizzle or even soaking rain for a bit, but we lost whole days and nights.
I want to go when you do and channel your good weather!

Its the luck of the draw lol. But if you go for a week or more in Sept expect some rain @ some point. If it rains all wk... well that's within the realm of normal also

We went in early October in 2012 and had perfect weather. I dont remember it raining at all so I guess it's all just luck. I am with you though. I cannot emphasize enough how much I dislike being outside in the rain for long periods of time. I'm generally a very nice person and fun to vacation with but I'm like Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde when I get soaked through.

We went last Sept, too and it POURED most days and the humidity was just unbearable. We are doing November this year.

We went last September and, while there were clouds at some point every day, it hardly rained for us. It was warm, but not insanely hot (although we live in Texas, so we are used to much hotter weather at home than it ever gets at Disney). Even when it rained there was plenty to do. We did run into Lovebugs , but other than that, it was pretty much perfect. It was so nice, in fact, that I'm planning to go in September for future trips.

We went last September and the week we were there, it only rained once. The rest of the time, the weather was nice and hot. Of course, since September is still hurricane season, it can be the luck of the draw. We would go again during that of September though since we walked on to almost every ride we went on!

A few years ago I was there over my birthday, which is September 27th. So, I'm thinking we were there during the last few days of Sep and a few days into October. It was so hot and sticky the entire week. I wouldn't do September again. Mid October or later are nice though.

I have been November, May, March, October...we are now trying mid-way through September this year.
Every month is SO crowded! We always got lucky with the weekend before Thanksgiving, but the past few years were brutal.

Now it looks like it's going to pour on us.

October is my favorite month, hands down. Best weather. Love MNSSHP. LOVE! But, we've found the crowds are unbearable.

Hands down September is our favorite month!!! I've been in July and some of the other summer months...never again .. the crowds just aren't for me!!! I think that I could handle crowds in milder temps, but heat and crowds don't mix well for me. September is hot...just a few degrees cooler than July/August (and sometimes you can't tell the difference), but the lower crowds counterbalance it. In September 2012, we had two days of rain and it was steady rain but still manageable and the parks were even more cleared out that usual. We put ponchos on and had a ball. I think we rode BTMR about 10 times and Splash and other headliners about the a same amount of times. We did rope drop and the MK had EMH until midnight (I think) an we left well before the park closed because we had done most rides several times. The rain did break and the sun would come out but we had constant showers I guess you could say. It was a blast and I'd take that hands down over wall to wall people!!!
