Hi!

We are regular Disney goers and last year went on our first family holiday with our baby girl. We said we wouldn't go again until 2018 but we just can resist. We all miss it when we aren't there and as much as we try and deny it, we are all desperate ago so have agreed to go agin in September. We have just moved into our first home so so t want to blow all of our year savings on this trip so want to try and be a little cheaper this time. Usually we stay on property and do ddp but I think we've missed any chance of free ddp now haven't we? So our other option is still to go ahead with staying on property but without ddp or staying of property. We'd only want to stay on lake Buena vista though.

Can anyone recommend the best options to keep prices down? We will hire a car and so are happy to buy groceries. We will probably book a Disney TS at least once a day.

Thanks all!

Personally I like to stay on site, I did a trip in 2013 partially off site and didn't feel like I got my Disney fix. That's just me though - a lot of people recommend Wyndham Bonnet Creek as a good offsite option, with good prices so that might be worth checking out. Plus they have full kitchens etc so good if you're planning to buy groceries/have car hire etc.

I think Disney are currently running an offer 25% off tickets and so many nights free when you book to stay at an onsite property (depending on length of stay and hotel category). So there's still money to be saved. Free DDP ended early July time I think it was but lol free dining is never really free. Flight prices for September pretty good too, I just booked end August into September £590 return with Virgin so it could be worse.

That's my worry is deciding to stay off site and then regretting it and not getting my Disney fix!!

My friend in travel sdid the nextfree Disney dining is out in April (not sure if her sources) but what date would that cover? 2018?

Yes, the April release is for 2018 dates. Could you hold on another couple of months for a January 2018 trip and make use of Free Dining?

I am going September as well. Did not think free dining dates had been released for fall yet???

I'm guessing from your use of "fall" rather than autumn, that you're not British? You're in the UK board, and the Walt Disney Travel Company UK have already finished their deals for Free Dining in 2017, and we are now awaiting the deals for 2018. These deals are different to those offered by the US arm of the company.
