September Park Hours Change?

I originally planned on visiting Magic Kingdom on Sunday, September 7th for the Extra Magic Hours---open until 12:00 am.

While trying to figure out a plan to reserve my Fast Passes, I noticed that on Disney's website and Touring Plans, it shows MK being opened until 10 pm.

I know I am not crazy as I printed the sheet from Touring Plans and it shows Evening Extra Magic Hours until 12:00 am.

Does anybody recall when this change happened? or if is accurate? :confused3

That's the day we arrived and it was a EMH night at MK. Not sure when they changed it. I use an WDW hours app and it now shows open until 10 with no EMH

They changed the EM hours on me when I went in May, which caused me to make some changes in my plans. The change did not show up immediately on the TA calendar when it happened, it took at least a few days to update.

Thanks for the responses. Looks like they flipped the evening EMH from September 7 to September 13. I'm guessing they are anticipating larger crowds? Our departure date is the 14th----need to catch ME around 10:30 am so still will work. Of course, it's still early and may change a couple more times between now and then. :rotfl2:

:offtopic: sorry for hijacking the thread for a minute. What is the parade at dark that is listed at AK on the TA calendar posted?

Uhhhh gross. I'm there Sept 7-12 which means I don't get any MK EEMH at all? That's cute. That was the only day I really was going to take advantage of EMH.

Though at the same time, I would have been driving all day and then in the park so maybe it'll just force me to go to bed early. :rotfl: But I'm also thinking of leaving even earlier that day to get more MK time that day.

The parade at DAK is no longer performed.

"Dark" is a theatrical term that means "no performance."

It might be less confusing if they would post "None."

Oh my god this sucks! Thanks for bringing it to my attention. I'm spending the night at MK that night too and I was looking forward to the extra hours. Oh well... I guess 10 is still pretty good.

So Wishes starts at 10, right? So the park closes after that? I haven't done Wishes in a while.

Yah it looks like they added EMH to Saturday, 9/13 from 11pm to 1am. Didnt think this was typical for September? Hope its not too crazy, luckily we are spending 9/12 at MNSSHP so we will be avoiding MK on 9/13... heck, maybe this will work out for us afterall :thumbsup2

We are going end of September an I noticed a lot less EMH in the mornings and evenings. In the past you could always hit a park late or grt in early. Not so anymore.

Just checked the hours for my stay- I'll be there Sep 11-16. A couple of parks are opened later: DAK was closing at 5pm on the 12th and is now closing at 6pm, and HS on the 14th was closing at 7:30pm with EMH from 7:30-9:30; it's now closing at 9pm with EMH from 9pm-11pm :thumbsup2

The one downfall is MK; I'm going on the 15th and originally they had EMH from 9pm-11pm. Now they're just closing at 9pm, no EMH :confused3 QUESTION though- I have an ADR that day at Be Our Guest at 8:55pm. I assume the restaurant will remain open past 9pm since our reservation is for 5 minutes before the park closes? Has anyone had an ADR at or around the park's closing time? I thought we had time to eat and maybe catch one or two more rides during EMH, but now that they took that away, looks like dinner will be the last activity for that day.

Same thing happened to me for our aug trip. Had our plans revolving around EMH at MK on sun & now they changed it to sat - our arrival & departureday & it totally messes everthing up! So disappointed!

Just out of curiosity, I checked the park hours for my trip this morning on the My Disney Experience app- and the park hours have not changed (the evening EMH for MK on 9/15 are still there). Maybe the app hasn't updated yet? I would think that it would be up to date with the park hours, no?
