We weren't planning to go to WDW this year, but we got a pin code and now it may just be too good to resist. We're thinking about late September or early October (offer expires 10/8). The rates are better in September, I assume because EPCOT Food and Wine Festival hasn't started. Is it worth paying more to go in October? Our kids are 7 and 9 and we'll have to pull them out of school no matter when we go. I know it may still be hot that time of year, but that would be okay since we could actually use the pools. We've always gone Dec/Jan/Feb and it has always been too chilly to swim. Any advice for me on when to go?

we are going in september 16th to 7th october and normally go in september october weather is great in september and starts to cool a bit in october also parks are not as busy as august would recommend september as u get the best of both great weather and parks not as busy hope this helps sorry for rambling on

October is my favorite time to visit Disney. We love the Food & Wine festival and Not so Scary Halloween (although haven't done this in a few years). Trick o' Treating in Magic Kingdom is something we will never forget. The weather is cooler in October which also makes it a nicer day for our younger child.

Our last trip was in Mid September and it was still in the 90's. Not too humid, but very hot.

Crowds were not a problem for us at either time. We actually found the characters to be more fun in September - maybe because they have to switch them out every 30 minutes because of the heat.

Ok I am going to be bias!, I say Sept because thats when we are going this year, 19th to the 2 nd of Oct(thats with throwing 4 nights at the Hard rock for Horror nights). 2009 we went Oct, I belive it was the frist and second week of Oct. That year they had broken heat records. It was fantastic, you can take them MNSSHP trick or treating and you to,every one gets to be a kid. This year we are going to catch the frist weekend of MNSSHP,but we will still get to see it. Was the pin code just for Sep and Oct?, because they have a promo going right now I think its late summer rate??, it goes all the way up to the end os Sept.
