September/October 2013 check in

Of course you can. We have come so far. We have 90 days to go and I think we have decided to tell them on the Thursday night. That means they can tell their friends at school n Friday, help pack and we will basically get up and go Sat morning. That will give them a bit of time to be excited but only about 36 hours. One of our daughters won't cope with the surprise immediately but will get the excitement about an hour later.

Got my Halloween party tickets in the mail last week, have had a flight change from Orlando to Washington so need to think of how to spend disembarkation day off the cruise. We are now not flying out until 5. Might phone and see if I can get an earlier flight to get to Washington earlier.

Dining reservations are done, universal booked, pre cruise accomm booked, cruise done, Washington and New York accomm done, train Washington to New York done, flights Orlando to Washington done, seats selected on international sectors done.

Now to start filling in the days. Cruise day in Nassau has me stumped.

Will get around to updating my pre trip report one day.

:cheer2: Your right I can do this if you can I can :) I will just continually say we are not going to Knoxville this year ;) luckily they havent actually asked to go to America yet so I haven't had to tell any porky pies :rotfl:
You have been busy!

Nassau I haven't been there but when we were doing a cruise with there as a stop I booked a room at Comfort Suites and it gives you passes to Atlantis for a lot less money make sure you sign up as a comfort suite member to get a better rate if you decide to do this and you have to keep checking for specials.
There is also a pirate museum Or since your cruise is so short stay on the ship!

DH wants to do a sprintcar driving school we have been waiting for them to release the dates and lucky for him I haven't booked our flights from Houston to LA as they are running one on the 30th Sept so we will now be flying back to LA on the 29th so he can do this.

My DH keeps telling them that he is Never taking them to Disneyland again

I'm under the 100 mark stage and in the 90's.

We're going to have to firm up details for our DisMeet and figure out how to contact each other in case things change. We still have time.....:dance3:

99 sleeps! I can now officially say that I'm also in the 90's. Double digits - woohoo!

I haven't quite decided what I'm going to do about phone contact in the US. I thought briefly about getting a US Sim card, but then thought I might just put my cellphone on roam and have it there incase of emergencies.

We'll also have my DH's smartphone or ipod on us at all time to get access to the WDW app, so I guess probably the very best way to get hold of me will be via email. If I knew our Dsimeet was coming up I'd check emails regularly incase anything changes. Would email work for you?

Also, am I correct that there is wifi all throughout Disney property?

I'll check with DH. He is maintaining a US phone. I normally just head into an AT&T store on the first day and buy a prepaid $2 per day credit. They give me a free SIM. DH has bolted on a data pack to his service and I don't know if we both need to have data packs.

And yes, I believe free Wifi is available - inconsistent speed and all.

Don't forget to check all your internal flights regularly now that you're inside 3 months. US Domestic carriers do like a time change. Or six. My one and only flight has been moved forward by almost an hour.

Big week for the 5ofus family. DS3 and I both have our passport interviews :) We are the last two, so we'll finally be able to get our ESTA's in a couple of weeks!

Took the boys into Vivid on Saturday. DH and I thought the crowds would give us a good trial run. We were right. I don't think the crowds in Vegas/Disneyland are going to be too much of a problem for us, the older boys listened and did as they were told in regard to holding hands etc. DS3 is a different story. As long as we're moving, he's fine but as soon as we stop... I think we're going to have to get him one of those leashes :( Something I've been holding off on doing. He is a runner though, I think it's the safest thing.

It was also good because the older boys wanted to do Cadman's Finger - the interactive display. So we had to wait for half an hour in line. They were very patient and well-behaved. I think they'll be fine in lines. Once again though, DS3....

DS's passport expires in Jan14. So I am holding off renewing it until Aug to get maximum length out of it (it only takes 10 working days in NZ and no interviews). Then I will do out ESTAs and we will be all set.

Good thinking. Mine and DH have just expired, he's renewed his, and I just did mine today. DS3 has never had one. I found out today though that you can't renew kids passports in Oz, you have to get whole new ones. We have a few years until the older boys' expire. It's a shame because the renewal process is SO much easier than getting a new one.

I'm looking forward to having the ESTAs all sorted. Never done them before. Last time we were in the US was 8 years ago!

Can you please add us to the thread! :cool1:

We will be in WDW staying at AKV Kidani from Oct 19 - 24 and then boarding the Disney Dream for the 3 night cruise on the 24th.

Just booked the cruise today!

Welcome to the newcomers!

I just booked our flight to Sacremento even with the dropping $$ I am still happy I waited $47.80 each the cheapest I had seen them for was $80 now just to hope for our international flight to arrive on time pixiedust:

3 days ago, I was at a 3 month countdown.

Today, I'm at 2 months, 4 weeks and 1 day.

Somehow....3 months seems a lot closer than 2 months, 4 weeks and 1 day! :confused3

I'm loving these countdowns. :cheer2: In three more days we'll be in the 60s!!!:woohoo:
That seems crazy...but oh so exciting. I want to plan some more things but we are pretty much done.

I'm actually looking forward to tomorrow when I can say 2 months .....

My next big countdown hurdle is 75 days as that is when I can book my cruise excursion and hopefully a Palo brunch. Trying not to get my hopes up with the brunch though as all DCL repeat cruisers may have booked it out by now.
