September/October 2013 check in

sorry folks, have been a bit absent with my trip planning due to a recent car accident and have been housebound for a while. and with money being really tight until i can get back on my feet, i just couldn't get enthused about my trip planning.

but here goes:

fri oct 18 - vaustralia flight bne - lax
fri oct 18 - thurs oct 24 - disneyland resort, probably a side trip to san diego or hollywood/LA area, and will be going to mnsshp at least once
thurs oct 24 - virgin america flight lax - mco
fri oct 25 - sat oct 26 - wdw, focussing mostly on MK in the morning and then epcot & illuminations at night.
sat oct 26 - sat nov 2 - dcl western fantasy cruise, port adventures in costa maya, grand cayman and possibly doing stingray feeding at castaway cay
sat nov 2 - mon nov 4 - universal orlando including harry potter world, maybe KSC side adventure
mon nov 4 - virgin america flight mco - lax, then virgin australia flight lax - bne
wed nov 6 - arrive home
mon nov 11 - return to work :)

still lots to book and pay for (eek, just over 6 mths and lots of savings still to be achieved :scared1:) and organise, but those are the concrete plans at this stage :)

Just like my planning :) Gotta wait for the cash to start coming in for it to start flowing out again :)

That's awful Alicia. It's good to hear though that you are looking at the bright side and are happy to go back to work.

Welcome back Karen. Your plans look great.

Great looking plans Alicia and Karen.

Sorry to hear about your accident Alicia. Wishing you all the best for a speedy recovery.

Wow Alicia-what rotten luck. Are any of the medical and related ongoing costs covered by the taxi's insurance? Take care.

Thought things have been a bit quiet on the Karen front? Plans sound good. Be interesting to hear how the two villas compare.

trying to juggle the intricate planning for wdw and the 2 cruises is working out to be a bit of a brain freeze type process at the moment..i keep jumping back and forth and are getting a slightly bit muddled...

so have booked dh into open water padi course cruise #1..so thats shore excursions taken care of.....so just shore excursions and dining left to organise for cruise #2..

wdw..i keep cancelling and rebooking dining..cant make up my mind, and have bought UST/IOA forward a day so that throws out my AK tour and dive at epcot, therefore changing dining accordingly....oh well could be worse..

still stressing over the 2hr 34 min time i have between delta and qantas flight coming home....fingers crossed its enough time, both delta and QF say it is but I hate being rushed. Interline baggage (if they do it) should make it so much easier...bags checked in MCO thru to syd...no need to get them at lax and re check them.

DH needs a new passport, we both need ESTA, visa card screaming at me to be fed.....so business as usual!

:rolleyes1

We all need ESTAs here too (as well as DH & DS needing new passports). Won't do until August though, so that we get the most life out of them.

If anyone has flights to book To NYC I had an email today about flights for $99 each way till Oct 30 from LA- NYC and from some other airports not sure what airline I deleted it before I realised it could be of use to someone here.

The dollar hit 1.05 today.

That was the threshold I was waiting for, so I have bought my Annual Pass and Photopass+

Dean

I have one valid ESTA out of 3. Two of us needs ESTAs and I'm waiting till July.

How are you planning on telling them?

Not sure yet. Waiting for dd1s assessment planner to see where she is at work wise. If we have fluked leaving at the end of assessment block we will tell them at the airport with a cover story we are off to the coast for the weekend. If in assessment block we will have to announce a week or two before so she can get her work done and organised. They are missing 9 days of school.

Sounds like a great plan!
