We are discussing another trip to Disney World next year and I'm trying to determine which month would be better. We've done October before and have a trip scheduled for October this year... but I've been reading a lot about it getting a lot busier in October now, so we wanted to switch it up next year. Is later September, the last week of November or the first 2 weeks of December better? In terms of weather and crowds, what is best? We would be doing MNSSHP or MVMCP depending on which time we'd go. We have done MNSSHP but have never done MVMCP.

since you are doing the Halloween one I'd do Christmas next year but I love Christmas time.

I've done September and October, so this year we are doing November to see the Christmas decorations and party.

why not plan it so you can go late October through the beginning of November and catch both Halloween and Christmas Decorations?

I thought about that, but from what I've read, that would be during Jersey week.

I think an arrival date of November 27 would work out pretty good for you. I prefer 2nd week of September if your primary goal is to avoid crowds but week after Turkey day should be alright.

Weather will be fairly iffy for any of those months. September can still be very hot while November/December can vary quite a bit. We've been in November when it's been rainy and cold and in December (twice) when it's been really temperate and beautiful (mid-70's, no rain), but it's really luck of the draw. I'm not a fan of November because of all of the events and holidays (Jersey Week, Thanksgiving, etc.). Personally, I would choose the second week of December. You've already been in the fall and have done MNSSHP and WDW decorated for Christmas is so beautiful. We've been the second week and the week before Christmas and have had a fantastic time during both. Here is a crowd predictor if it's of any use: https://www.undercovertourist.com/orlando/crowd-calendar/2018/

Disney Management is probably looking at those green dots right now trying to figure out how to get them into reds.

First 2 weeks in Dec. That is when EVERYTHING will be decorated vs just in the beginning of Nov when things are slowly going up. You can resort hop which is very cool. Weather is great too. Sept and Nov can still be very hot....Dec can be warm but not hot normally....normally is the key word here.

Of those times, we would choose early December every time. Great crowds and weather with amazing Christmas decorations everywhere. Now, if early Sept. we're on your list, we would choose that time for the tiny crowds.

I would pick November it is sooner then December, but not as hot as September!

Sept is very hot and has a lot of rain. So i'd pass on that one. I'd try either end of Nov or early Dec.

Like others have said, early September is a good time for low crowds, but that's not on the table. September is still pretty hot, so since you wouldn't be going at the ideal time in this month, I would skip this month.

November has some of the best weather. It's generally not too hot, not too cold, low humidity, and very little rain. There is the marathon, Jersey week, Food and Wine, and Thanksgiving to contend with. We went the first week in November a few years ago and it was great! I don't remember if it overlapped Jersey week or not.

I've been many times in December. The weather is very unpredictable. It could be beautiful or freezing. I remember one year when I was a kid my parents bought what seemed like the last set of gloves and hats in Orlando at the International Gateway Entrance to Epcot. My parents had tried to find some even off property to no avail. I think there is greater opportunity for good weather and low crowds in November.

I would just look at crowd calendars to compare the weeks you are considering. They're not a perfect science, but it's better than nothing.

When I looked at New Jersey school calendars the week off begins November 6, at least the schools that have a week off. Veteran's Day is Saturday, November 11. You should be good if you go the end of October through beginning of November.

I wouldn't be against any time in September for crowd reasons, I would be a little worried about the heat/humidly. I will have to look into the beginning of November too.
