September Free dining?

There was a Disney Visa offer for "kids stay, play, and dine released on 3-4-10 and again on 4-24-10 per mousesavers.

I would :dancer: if this were offered again this year.

That was only for Disney Visa holders though right? Disney Visa's are for U.S. residents only :sad1: otherwise I'd be getting one.

Yes, it was a Disney Visa offer only. That's a bummer. Hope they offer a public FD code for you. pixiedust:

TA's are NOT allowed to leak the discount early. If Disney finds out, the AGENCY can LOSE it's earmarked status. This is a big PLUS.

I think FD started about 5 or 6 years ago to fill in the September dates. With the economy taking a dive, they have expanded FD into other dates in the past.

I find it curious that many asking about the FD for this year, did not book when it was offered (late last year). I have found that you need to revisit and/or pay attention periodically, because the Disney offers come and go ... you just need to be on top of things if you even think there is a chance you might go.

I tend to book something "just in case" and then cancel if it turns out not to fit in with our plans.

Sometimes its not a matter of whether you are on top of things or not, or booking if you think there is a chance you may go, it is quite often a matter of not being able to afford to go when the special is on. I wouldn't book a trip I didn't know i could pay for just because there was a special on, no matter how much I wanted to go. I'm a single mom who gets no child support for 3 kids, and have worked really hard to not be in debt and I want to stay that way. Not everyone can book trips on a whim.

For some people, going to Disney with one's kids is a once in a lifetime opportunity that may never come again. I would give almost anything to do it but not go into debt over it. It would be too heartbreaking to get my hopes up and book a trip to Disney, which would be a dream come true, that I may not be able to take and have to cancel it.

I'm hoping and praying for FD for a trip the end of August into September.

I think a lot of people who waited are really interested in going after the heat breaks. While there is never a guarantee that it will cool off in October or even November, if you go in September, there's pretty much NO hope of a cool down.

And our last trip was December 2010. I thought it was cheeky of Disney to close that gap and expect me to pay for 2 trips at once.

So I'm taking my chances on late fall discounts again. And really, it's not much of a risk. As much as we'd all like to visit the parks with the crowd levels back down, I'm pretty sure the Disney accountants and marketing staff won't let that happen.......

My thoughts exactly.

Some of us didn't book it cause we had other plans:confused3 We were to be on the WONDER but seeing as the tension in Mexico just keeps getting worse and my husbands week feel through for we cancelled our cruise and booked a week in Sept instead so we are now going to WDW. I wish we had known all this to get FD back in Dec. We are planners and had the cruised book for over a yr and a half almost so sometimes we miss out on deals not by choice!!

PRAYING:worship:FD resurfaces for Sept again!

I wish I could have one too. Even if I didn't get points or whatever, I want Mickey on it!
