September Free Dining Plan???

Just wondering how this free dining works in September that everyone is talking about. Do you have to be staying at a certain hotel? Does everyone get the free dining when they travel there in September? Does it apply to vacation club members that travel there in September? Please someone help me out and understand this!! Thank you!!

We are getting free dining in Sept because we booked it while we were there this past Oct . It was a ' bounceback ' special

Basically its a package offer if you stay at certain hotels. The UK disney site was offering it if you booked a Moderate or Luxury resort before the end of October for next year. I think last year there were various offers throughout the year for it. Its just one of the offers that is on the site at certain times so keep an eye out. Usually you have to book moderate or above hotels. I'm staying at a value resort in September and don't have the free dining plan. I think that last year they did an offer for DVC members at some point but I don't know when.

1) No.
2) It is meant to get people to WDW.
3) DVC members are going anyhow, as they are a captive audience.
4) You are already going back, so they don't need the incentive offer.
5) If you pay cash for the room & tickets (non-DVC-points), then you're eligible.
6) But, that kind of defeats the purpose of buying points.
