September experts, week after labor day?

I just read the "September anyone" thread, sounds like there will be plenty of other folks there. I'm obsessing about schedules already and the only thing I can find about park hours projects early closing all week (Sep6-10) for MK and MGM. Does anyone know, does that mean we won't see fireworks at MK the whole week??? Our nights are Tues-Fri, and I think I saw on the WDW website that MK is closing even earlier on Fri 9/9 because there will be a separate admission event, religious music. I'll be disapointed not to see the firworks the whole time we're there, especially since we've decided to do a once in a lifetime splurge and stay at Poly.
Anyone with past experience this time of year??? Thanks.

We were at the Poly the week after Labor Day last year. Night of Joy concerts were scheduled for Thurs-Sat.

They did have fireworks on Wednesday night, but that was it. We enjoyed them from the Poly Beach. :)

The scheduled closing looks like 7pm, don't know how they could do fireworks that early, but it is disney!
KSC37, maybe it will be the same this year, I think that Wed. is the regularly scheduled extra magic eveing hours at mk??? so maybe that night?? We can only hope. Thanks, both.

Hi Blueeyez,

Don't worry about the hurricanes. I know there has been a lot of coverage lately about an active hurricane season, but those are just forecasts. Not only that, even if there are a lot of hurricanes this summer and fall, it doesn't mean they will all converge on WDW!

Remember, prior to last year, WDW had closed only one day in its first 33 years because of a hurricane!

We went last year 9/14 - 9/21, and there were fireworks every night at whichever park we were at. We also didn't experience any bad weather, even though Ivan was on his way. The parks were EMPTY! We walked right on every ride, with a max wait time of 20 min on Kalahari Rapids at AK. It was great! We love hurricane season!

Hi,
Last year we arrived on Labor Day and stayed for 2 weeks of Disney Magic.
There were no crowds at all, but maybe that was because it was just in between the 2 hurricanes.
But what this topic is about, when MK closes at 7 pm there are fireworks at 7 pm as well. But maybe not at the Nights of Joy, I don't know that for sure.
