September Check-in - September has Arrived!

On EMH at DCA we always ride RSR first and all of the stuff in carsland. Not a very long wait. Then we hit TSMM and other rides. At about 10 minutes left of EMH I get in line for fast passes for RSR. We usually stay at DLH and love it! The characters in the lobby all day is awesome and the pool is the amazing. This time we are staying at the GCH

Sounds like we have a similar plan. Guess i'll be seeing you in line Monday morning! Can't believe we still have almost 30 days to get to Disney. Feel like we've been waiting for ever.

I don't want to double-dip (already in the October thread), but we're arriving Sep 29th and leaving Oct 3d...

It's a guys-only trip -- just my son and I -- his first visit, and my first visit since 1993...

He's already given me his list of rides in priority order.

We will NOT be going to the Halloween party, nor will we be eating at Blue Bayou.

Unless, of course, we change our minds once we get there.

'Double-dip' away! I'm in both this group and the August one (as well as both half marathon weekend groups) because my trip spans both months :thumbsup2

Double-dipping here as well. Arriving the 28th and leaving Oct 5th. Our last several trips have been so rushed that we are looking forward to being there the whole week and be able to take a more relaxing approach to everything.
We are staying at the Tropicana Inn that week. A big thanks to whoever it was in another thread that mentioned their $20 a night discount for more than 5 nights. I originally booked through Orbitz but because of this advice I ended up saving a ton of money going directly to the Tropicana's website.

Well, then, we'll probably see you around the parks. You'll be able to recognize me as the big clumsy guy with the wide grin on his face and the theme-park IQ drop.

I'm a bit thrown by the park hours they have posted, we had planned on the Thursday being a non park day and doing a day trip to see the area but tjose are lovely long hours. No WOC though and I had planned to do that on the Weds (23rd) night. The only other day to do our day trip would be the 23rd but I only want to plan one evening activity per night, WOC on the Weds, MHP on the 26th, Fantasmic on the Sat or Sun, fireworks on the other, short park day on the Monday before we fly out. Hmmm

I know what you mean. We had to switch everything around as well, but we are definitely taking advantage of those long hours on Thursday, as well as Magic Morning on that Thursday.

I will see you there!!!!

The 11th - 14 at the GCH. We will be a little bit Dapper!!

Will there be plenty of people in casual clothes on Dapper Day? We are from Australia and had no idea about Dapper Day until a couple of weeks ago. Will we look like the 'odd ones out' if we don't dress up? :confused3 With only 3 weeks to go I'm not sure I have the energy to put 4 Dapper outfits together. But it looks like fun.

You will be fine. In Feb it was probably 50/50 people dressed and not. It's very fun to people watch!

even LESS than that. Feb. Dapper Day was very crowded and many, many people were there for their extended "president's day week" holiday. So, no, most people in the park are not dressed Dapper-ly. If you can bring a fun hat or something small to be Dapper, then more fun. (It is not an "official" Disneyland event, though, so no worries)

Did anyone else notice that Mickey and the Magical Map is not on the schedule for Tuesday September 23 and Wednesday September 24? So does anyone know if maybe the show is dark on Tuesday and Wednesdays in the off season as the previous week is dark also for the Tuesday and Wednesday as well?

Big clumsy guy? It will be like looking in a mirror :)

Thank you for pointing this out! I didn't even think to check this one, but it's not on the schedule for the Tuesday and Wednesday of our trip as well (second week of Sept). Now I can plan accordingly. :thumbsup2

I will be at disneyland from 15-19th of september! going with my mom, and we are going to have the best time ever! staying at the Disneyland hotel!! cant wait

I think I've gotten all the newcomers added :goodvibes Welcome!

We're in the final countdown! Only single digits until September arrives and we can all say we're going to DLR THIS month! I'm a little excited ;)

RE: the long hours on Thu. 9/25... from what I can tell quite a few local schools have the day off for Rosh Hashanah, so if the past is any indication it will be pretty busy that day. But I'm excited to take advantage of that 7am MM!
