September AP Rates

Has anyone heard anything? I don't mean to be ungrateful for a discount, but DH and I are first time passholders. This is very frustrating when trying to book a vacation. We are currently 44 days from leaving for our Anniversary Trip and Cruise. We are doing 3 nights at WL and then going on the Dream and were planning on coming back to stay at AKL for 4 nights. Very frustrating when we are this close and don't have things finalized. Very poor on Disney's part toooo... of course, that is only my opinon. :)

:sad2: I got up first thing this morning fully expecting the next AP rate to be out. I've looked back the last few years on the Mousesavers.com Historical charts, and they've ALWAYS come out by June 26 or earlier

My countdown is 53 days :scared1: We check into POR Aug 20.
Usually discounts are released on Mondays I think, but next Monday is your holiday, July 4 so won't be released then. Maybe July 5? Really cutting it close.

Disney- what are you doing

I'm booked under the general public discount just so I could have a room guaranteed at PoR, but I don't want to buy the tickets so I can use the dining plan, which what I was forced to do. I refuse to give Disney nearly $400 to "hold onto" until my renewal comes around. I have until the 17th of July to cancel, but if nothing is released by then giving me the ability to shed this forced ticket purchase, then I will cancel and rent points. I'll pay more for my reservation, but I'll get deluxe accomodations and be able to use the dining plan without having to buy unwanted tickets.

I went ahead and booked yesterday too. I hope I can change to the AP rate when they are finally released.

I've been trying to decide whether to go with the memories package to get dining instead of waiting for the AP discount to come out. Been trying to access the site to cost compare and have my fingers crossed that the site down for maintenance will bode well for AP discounts:)

I agree with everyone else - this is getting kinda ridiculous... We want to go during the first full week of September. No AP or FLR discounts yet? **sigh** :sad2:

Wednesday morning, still nothing...I guess we'll have to wait until July :sad2:

We're already booked with the GP discount (for part of the trip, since our last day is outside the dates), but I want to get this settled, so I know how much money I'm really spending!!!

They have the Florida resident discount, but I don't need tickets and I want the DDP! This is getting kind of ridiculous. Usually discounts are released on Thursdays though, so i'm holding out hope tomorrow is the last Thursday of the month which is usually when its released

They have the Florida resident discount

Was that just released? Didn't see it - does the AP discount usually mirror the resident discount? And, if so, what is that resident discount? Sorry for all the questions, just trying to see if my dates/resort would be included and how much % off to hope for ;)

I see a FL discount for summer, but it stops August 26. Am I missing something new? Thanks.

I think it may be July before we see them. The reason is because when I booked my room on the phone the CSR told me that they would be released next month. He was the most helpful CSR I've ever spoken to on the phone, I think, and assured me that it would be a pretty substantial discount, if it was anything like prior years.

:rolleyes1 and still waiting for the late Aug AP, ugh. Much nashing of teeth. They sure are cutting it close to the 45 day mark for changing pkgs.
I thought most discounts come out on Mondays :confused3

This is the latest they've made us wait for release of AP discounts :sad2:

I think that's my fault - this is my first year with an AP, and I'm notoriously unlucky when it comes to discounts....always seem to have to wait forever  Sorry everyone!! ;)

AP rates are out for 8/14-10/1 :cool1:

Of course, for my trip, the GP discount is better - looks like 9/30-10/3 is blacked out for the Poly, and only my first two nights are discounted :headache:

Good luck to everyone else!

Yuck! Moderates discount is very small! Lowest is $149 a night (you can get it on Travelocity for $154!!). It was much lower last year. If you want a value, you can get a good deal, but we really want something in the $100-$110 per night, so looks like we will go offsite...

boo hoo!

I agree the new AP rates for the moderates suck. It looks like they are about 24%, instead of the usual 35% off we are used to. My current bounce back deal for Sept 10th-18th, that I booked when we were there this past May easily beats the AP discount, which is unusual. A standard room at CSR for eight nights is $981.37 ($106.60 weeknights and $113.10 weekends) using the bounceback. With the AP discount the same standard room is $1149.75 ($124.00 weeknights and $134.00 weekends) for the exact same dates. Rack rate is $1509.75. I guess I'll just keep my bounceback deal.
