Newbie here!

I'm thinking of a trip in September (late in the month). Will the fireworks run on the weekends? Will Fantasmic still be running or done for the season?

DH's b-day is 9/20. I wanted to surprise him with a trip. It would be most fun to go on his birthday and the following weekend, but I might delay it a week so that we can see the Haunted Mansion with the NBC overlay. Is it fairly certain that the overlay will be complete by the 28th?

THANKS!

Be sure your trip includes a weekend and you should still have fireworks and probably F!. If you do during the week you'll probably miss both of them. Not sure about the overlay. I think it was done by that time last year and the year before. You could check the old Disneyland reports at mouseplant.com to confirm what the schedule was the last couple of years.

Keep on the lookout for LGMH! We are doing a adult only trip (DH and I) from 9/20-9/23.

We went last year at that time, and plan to go again in the same timeframe. Last year the fireworks and many of the shows were only on Friday/Saturday nights. The Villains' Lair had villains only on Saturday (and Sunday?) afternoons, which I didn't realize until too late. And the Aladdin show was closed for re-casting, so we missed that as well. Haunted Mansion was closed for refurb.

It was weird, because I think the switchover from daily shows to just weekend shows occurred right as we arrived. The first schedule we had was so full of things to see and do! We thought we had all the time in the world. The next week's schedule, which you don't get until Monday morning, I believe, had much fewer items and was much shorter. We'd missed out!

It sounds like your trip might be right before the schedule changes. :thumbsup2

Thanks!

We were planning on the weekend and it's perfect if the overlay opens on the 21st!

We missed this last year, because the HM didn't open up again until the day we flew home. I hope I get to see it this year! :thumbsup2
