Hi!

So tomorrow is our ADR day and I would be grateful if you could have a look at what I'm planning and give any feedback and thoughts! We are paying OOP as I don't think anyone apart from me would eat that much food! (2 parents, 8 and 3 yr old and 2 grandparents). So we will mainly be doing quick service food I think (plus taking advantage of F&W), with the emphasis on the character meal ADR's for the kids, or lunch reservations to get out of the heat and relax for a bit. Staying at the BLT. Have park hoppers and planning to spend mornings and lunch in the parks and then afternoons back in the resort. Possibly go back later if we have energy / reservations!

Also any advice as to what order to book in as well?

Sun 9/3
Afternoon arrival
Dinner: Chef Mickeys (we may have to cancel this as some relatives may visit us on this day so we are booking another back up day below and should hopefully know in the next few weeks).

9/4 Labor Day - Animal Kingdom (8am opening)
Breakfast in room arrive before 8am
Lunch at Tusker House
Dinner - no booking
Star Wars desert party

9/5 Magic Kingdom (9am opening)
Breakfast - 8am if possible BOG (or is dinner better - see 9/7)
Lunch - CRT
Dinner - no reservations. Epcot for the Food & Wine for wife & I.

9/6 Hollywood Studios - (9am opening)
Breakfast - 8am Hollywood & Vine (just my daughter and me to try and get the Jedi Training).
I've read on another thread they have not loaded reservations though at the 180 day mark?
Lunch - 50's Diner
Maybe a 3pm Sci Fi Theater reservation for milkshakes?
Dinner - Ohana

9/7 Epcot - 8am opening
Breakfast in room - arrive before 8am
Lunch - via Napoli
Dinner - 5pm BOG - ordering light as...Evening - MNSSHP (if it's on!)

9/8 Check out & pick up around 4pm
Magic Kingdom 8am opening
Breakfast - possibly Wave - but may be better just to go to the park for the early opening?
Lunch - Chef Mickeys (as the dinner on the first day may not happen)...or if we don't get CRT on the 5th try for that?

Just typing this up has made me realised I'm still not 100% on this so any urgent last minute help would be much appreciated!!

If you are doing MNSSHP, I probably would just do QS dinner that night. Those with party tickets can get into MK around 4pm, and people will do that and begin lining up for different character meets or even just to get some rides in before the party festivities start. You won't want to just be exiting dinner right as the party is starting, IMO. Also, my preference for BOG is breakfast or lunch anyhow. And my last point on this is that I wouldn't want a 5pm dinner after a Via Napoli lunch.

If you do Chef Mickey's lunch on 9/8, I wouldn't do breakfast at the Wave.

For 9/6, don't discount the milkshakes at 50s Prime Time! I wouldn't take the time to be seated just for shakes at Sci Fi. We love Sci Fi but the shakes aren't that special. I would either get them at 50s or at the Plaza ice cream window another day.

No Disney Springs at all? Ghiradelli has awesome shakes too!

For the Hollywood & Vine ADR, my 180 day was last Monday and I was able to get an 8:05am Hollywood & Vine ADR on about the 4th day of our trip, so I had no issues with availability being loaded.

I assume that you are doing the BOG breakfast to be able to hop onto 7DMT at the beginning of your day. Breakfast is VERY quick ao that strategy is usually an excellent one, go from 7DMT to Peter Pan immediately or get a fp for PP. (or 7DMT, but since the exit for BOG is directly across from BOG it makes sense to do that first)
H&V is another excellent choice to get you in line for Jedi training. IF you have not already secured your ADRs, keep trying and also use Touring Plans reservation finder. IF you are unable to secure that early ADR, then skip eating breakfast at the park that day and be one of the first in line at HS so you can hustle to Jedi training sign ups.
Agree with @nkereina about not eating TS on a MNSSHP day. You do not need park tickets that day and you are allowed entrance at usually 3:45 pm. Plan to eat a CS meal and do as much as possible before the party.
About Sci Fi, DH and DGS LOVE their pb and jelly shakes! I like going there for the atmosphere. But I wouldn't do both 50sPT AND Sci Fi, choose one or the other for lunch. (Milkshakes with lunch, yum! LOL
The Wave has an excellent breakfast, and it is right on your way to MK, I would keep that if you can get there by 6:45 am to be seated right away, making sure you were out in time for park opening, you can easily do both, the Wave is an early opening breakfast and you can chose the buffet which is faster than ordering ala carte. Then you just walk 6 or 7 minutes to MK. It all depends on your ability to hustle!
another option would be to grab something quick in your room, and then after the crazy morning rush head to CMs for late lunch.
I would definitely not try to hit Disney Springs. It can be a huge time sucker and you're not at WDW for a long visit. Just my humble opinion.

Hope all this advice is helpful,
Enjoy your trip!

That's great - thank you!
I'm guessing I should be trying to book BOG, CRT & Chef Mickey's first?
Followed by Ohana, Hollywood & Vine, and maybe Tusker House (as that's Labor Day?)
Although that's pretty much all of them!!

I think you're spending a lot of time hopping and not enough time resting. That week is hot and has a tendency to rain, and even your 8 year old is going to want breaks.

Looks great! Our 180 day mark is today so I made all of our ADR's this morning. I had no problem with what we needed except for Hollywood & Vine for breakfast on 9/8. The lady over the phone said they hadn't been loaded into the system yet and to check back this afternoon, and they still aren't showing up. I can't see any H&V breakfast ADR's past 9/3. So just wanted to give you a heads up on that one.

For the Hollywood & Vine ADR, my 180 day was last Monday and I was able to get an 8:05am Hollywood & Vine ADR on about the 4th day of our trip, so I had no issues with availability being loaded.

For some reason they aren't showing any availability after 9/3, right now. I tried for 9/8 today and was told they were not loaded yet and to keep checking. Hoping they become available soon.

Thanks for the tip! How frustrating!

Thanks for everyone's help - we pretty much got everything we wanted! Of course afterwards we realised that some other days and options may be better and those had since gone, but I have to say I was surprised at how smoothly it went! I guess being in September after Labor Day must have helped for availability, but there was no website glitches etc.
The only issue is H&V is still not showing up for the week yet.
