I love seeing grandparent/s with their grandkids having a blast onboard

Sure hope that is me. I am so prone to seasickness and have always said I would not pay to be sick so have never cruised. What we won't try with grandchildren :teeth: Will be bringing all the preventions with me and praying for calm seas.

Hi everyone! Happy August...5 weeks from today we'll be boarding the Wonder!! :cool1:

Could everyone please post the ages of those persons in their party going on the cruise??? Thanks

Our group is myself (31) DH (32) daughter who will be 71/2 months in September and my younger sister who will be 17....we have cruised before but never on Disney!! :earboy2:

My group is just my husband & myself. I will be 40 on 9/10, and my husband will be 33 by then. Yes, he's a younger man ;)

My group includes myself (42, gulp), my also younger man DH (40), DD (6), DD (4), and my DM (DisneyGramy) who will be 68 come cruise time. Yikes, I know she reads this. Sorry for giving your age Mom!!

Hi, i am so excited - I am taking my FIRST Disney Cruise - 9/8. A solo trip - celebrating 20 yrs Police Service and an upcoming birthday. Really looking forward to relaxing, sight seeing, shopping and meeting new people with interesting conversation. Many sites mention it's not really a cruise for singles but I hope to share Disney stories with other Disney lovers (hopefully while relaxing in the sun or hot tub) - Little worried about getting seasick - I take dramamine for airlines (used to take them for Police pursuits, too! HA) Don't mind traveling alone but if you see me - feel free to come over and say HI! I'll be the blonde wearing Mickey Ears, HA Any special suggestions are welcomed. Have a magical day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

Welcome aboard AnniM!! And congrats on the 20 yrs of service, this is a well-deserved trip. I too am worried about motion sickness, often getting sick in cars as well as boats... never thought about a police officer might have the same problem in her cruiser! LOL I'm sure you won't be bored on your trip but if you are feeling nostalgic for kids... I've got two I can lend you! ;) I'll be sure to say "hi" if I spot you. I'm an ex-Delawarean myself so I guess I'm an ex-neighbor.

Welcome aboord AnniM. My kids might need you if they don't behave this cruise. ;) After 20 yrs of service , I hope you have a great cruise!! You deserve it! I hope that you find cruising better than riding in your police cruiser.

Hi AnniM! Welcome to our happy little group! I'm sure you're going to love cruising. I definitely recommend starting the dramamine about 24 hours before you leave. Hopefully we will have smooth sailing.

I've cruised alone a few times, and I usually have no problem with keeping myself entertained. In fact, even though my husband will be with me on this trip, he will probably spend most of his time in the cabin watching some financial channel. I'll be by the pool soaking up the sun! :sunny:

Hi, everyone! I finally got around to looking for a thread. This will be #45 for us...can't wait. Hopefully the hurricanes will stay away this year. We've sailing around this time every year since 1998 and only had a hurricane problem once, so the odds are with us :)
Barb

Barb and Tony I'm glad you are on this cruise. Now I know I'm on the right cruise. ;) It will be fun going to the repeat cruiser party with the famous couple.

The Castaway Club party is one of the things we never miss :goodvibes
Unless a hurricane comes around, I think September is one of the best months to sail. We've done it every year since 1998! And hopefully we'll keep up our almost-perfect streak of Castaway Cay weather.
Barb

I agree you can't beat the price in September or the weather. I'm hoping for calm seas and sunny days. :sunny:

Just wanted everyone to know. September 4 th Wonder docs are coming this week. So the 8th Wonder cruise should be soon.

Excellent news sanddune! It's only 15 working days away!

Barb, I'm so glad you're on this trip. I remember visiting your website a few years ago when I first thought about taking a Disney cruise. I certainly do hope your luck will be with us since I want to enjoy my birthday on Castaway Cay!

Our cruise is right around the corner!!!! I am starting to get excited now, especially since I taped the Travel Channel special on DCL today!!! We also were upgraded from a cat12 gty to a cat 8 (7004) so our cruise is already off on the right foot :cool1:

Does anyone know what kind of highchairs they have, i.e. the wooden restaurant ones or the plastic ones more like you would have in your home?

Thanks,

Teresa

I'll be the one with the baby :rotfl2:

It's been a while since the highchair was needed. But about 4 yrs ago they where using the wooden style.

Sounds like Barb is just the good luck charm we need for good weather for September sailing!! :sunny: Thanks for choosing this week.

Wow, documents are coming... I'd better start packing! ;) We're finally going to tell our two DDs about it this week. I think we can handle three weeks of "how much longer, how much longer??" I have their pirates costumes hidden away and they will get them at that time also. It's been a hard secret to keep and sooo long!

Maybe I should start taking my Bonine now. :rotfl2:

Carlyn :cheer2:
