September 8,2005 Disney Wonder

sanddune - have a great cruise!

Princess - have a great time at WDW! I'll keep my fingers crossed Emily stays far away. I actually took some insurance out for our cruise just in case. We've been really lucky in the past - so hopefully our luck won't run out.

Take care everyone - I'm counting down the days!

Hi,

i am new to Disney crusing and hope i am not asking for too much info, but we are thinking of this cruise for 2 adults, a teen and an infant. There does not seem to be any difference in price (Appox $1285) among any of the major travel agencies (altough Sam's club is $1251) for a cat 12....has anyone found a really great deal and who did you use?
Thanks so much

I'm still new around here, so I'm not sure if we're able to discuss travel agents. I called Dana from www.micdan.com and paid $1600 for a Cat. 5 for 2 adults. It was about $100 cheaper than a couple other places I checked.

I don't know the answer to that either, but I did call Dana per your suggestion and she is so nice and helpful and was a few dollars less than Sam's....so thanks. :goodvibes She really seems to know her cruise info....
I appreciate the response.

That's awesome! She was super nice when I booking too.

Have you decided to join us?

Andrea,

I am still thinking about it - the main concern is that we would be traveling with an 8 month old in September and I can't decide if everything would go smoothly or not.....I am ready for a vacation though, and we are flying with our daughter in a few weeks, so she should do fine......or so we hope

Hmmm, definitely a tough decision. Maybe you can see how the first trip goes and then decide...although Disney cruises usually sell out. We've already had to make final payment too.

How far would you have to travel?

We would be able take a direct nonstop flight into MCO, so that would not be too bad....i think the flight is about an hour or so (from New Orleans). I am thinking we will just go ahead and make the trip

:earboy2:

We just booked this cruise thru Dana...great service!! It will be myself, my Dh and our 7 month old daughter...We are also bringing along my 17 year old younger sister, so hopefully there will be some more teens on this cruise!!!

Does anyone know if you have to sign up for the "teen club" online? I have already made the baby's Flounders reservations, but did not see anything about the teen club.

Looking forward to a relaxing cruise!

There must be SOMEONE else out there who is on thia trip????

oh well, I guess we will all get nice upgrades :rotfl2:

I just got back from our 9 night cruise. Had a great time!
The teens have to sign up on the ship. Sign up will be in the Aloft. I'm bringing a 14 year old with me. Sorry a little too young to help you. I'm sure there will be older teens on board.
Any other ?s let me know!
Are you ready !! It's just around the corner now!

Sorry I've been MIA - work is busy, busy, busy! I am so ready for our cruise.

newtodcl, I'm so glad to see you went ahead and booked!!

sanddune, glad to hear you had a great cruise. I'm sure you're ready for another one!!

Hi everyone! Yes I'm ready for another cruise. We now have the count down for this cruise going. We are doing back to back cruising. We are on the SS Member cruise that leaves out on the 4th. Then staying on for the cruise that leaves out on the 8th. So look for me up on the top deck on the 8th. I'll be out with my Mickey hands waving.

Sanddune - Ahhhh, travel agent.... just doing a bit of "research." I was so envious of all your recent travels that I had to look up your profile. All I can say is, "You Go, Girl!!" I'll be watching for you waving on the 8th! :wave2:

Travel agents do get discounts sometimes. But it's real hard to get DCL. So with that being said. I FEEL the whole in my pocket this year!
(PS with you being in Fl you may even beat my price I had to pay. ;) }

Sanddune-
Okay, I'm not as jealous of all your travels now... wait... yes, I still am! :teeth: Unfortunately, no FL discounts for us that week. :guilty: It's a good testimony to DCL that you keep coming back even without a discount. Just curious, did Hurricane Emily affect your last cruise?

No Emily had no bad affect on our cruise. She even cleared the way for us weather wise! The one we had to run from was Franklyn. Our cruise left from NJ. So heading home we had to run in front of the storm. We still realy had no problem just had to rush to the north a little early.
