Well, one suggestion, if you are worried about the airports is to fly into somewhere like atlanta as a connection, that way, if you needed to, you could always drive down from Atlanta, thats what my back-up-plan is... if we all get that far we could share a one-way rental...

I just want to get on board... LOL!

Hi Paul! Our layover on Friday evening is in Atlanta. We'll arrive there approximately 9pm. If MCO is shut down I guess we'll drive from Atlanta.

I hope we are worrying for nothing!


Edited to add: BTW -- After re-reading some posts, it seems that many of us are either flying into or starting out in Atlanta. Maybe we need a party bus!

For those concerned about Hurricane Frances - two years ago Mom, Michael and I were on the Magic and Hurricane Lili diverted us to St. Thomas and Puerto Rico rather than the Western Itinerary. That was our "Magic-al Mystery Cruise" and it was wonderful!!! Calmest seas I've ever sailed on and the most beautiful skies and clouds - just perfect!!

Just as long as we can get to the Port - we know that we will be taken care of!!!!

Just wish I could take my chihuahua with me - little bugger got me so attached to him!!!! And I'm the one who said, "NO SMALL DOGS!!!" HAHAHAHAH! Spike is sleeping in my lap as I type this - unaware that this time next week he will be visiting the vet for his neutering and "vacation" - some vacation!!!!

i agree with the happy thoughts! I live in atlanta but we are going to try to drive to orlando thursday for a parrothead event, obviously if the storm hits thurs or fr morning we will be driving later

Yep, everyone at work is jealous. My last day is Tues Aug 31 and I return to work Mon afternoon Sept 27. Several co-workers have vowed to quit on the 1st and will put in an application for rehire on the 27th. They don't want to deal with the chaos and mayheim that may occur in my absence.

Next year we are doing another 3 week - the last Mexican cruise and the repo back to Florida in August. If some challenges our 3 weeks onboard, we may just have to add a Caribbean to the end.

We are doing cruises - 11, 12 and 13 this year. We have 14 and 15 booked for next year. It won't be a problem to booked a 4th week next year after 'summer' is over so don't tempt me.

- Get to Florida

- Get on boat


After that it's all gravy. We haven't booked any excursions yet.


You know that commercial of the dad who has 'lots of plans' all over the ship? That's DH's idea of the best first week.

I'm not ashamed to say I am green with envy for your three magical weeks!

And I must say, I agree 100% with those of you who said they don't mind a mystery cruise. I really don't give a hoot either where we sail to...as long as we're on the cruise is all that matters to us!
