What check in time does everyone have? We booked late on this cruise so got the 11.30 check in time. Wondering if we will bump onto any of you in line? :)

We have 12.... :-)

Our checkin time is 11:30 .... starting to get excited, heading to LA on Thursday, gonna have to keep moving to get everything ready...

We'll try to keep an eye out for those of you checking in around the same time! I'm planning on wearing a pair of pants that you'd be unlikely to miss me in, so if you spot me please say hi!

Lol!! I look forward to seeing that ;) I made commemorative T-shirts for Vern & I but I'm not sure how much they will make us stand out.

I'll have fun Disney luggage you can't miss!

We have purchased food at ports (and alcohol) and taken it on board with no problem. Key lime pie on Key West, Mexican pastries in Cozumel, beer and tequila. No problem.

My sons 6th birthday is our first day in San Francisco so I'm planning on buying him cupcakes or a small cake in port. I purchased the decorations package but they don't have the option to buy a cake any more.

If you're planning on going to Ghiaradelli Square, they have the most delicious cupcake shop in there. :thumbsup2

Well, I had no idea about these boards nor this site.. My wife and I will be on this cruise, first time on Disney however we have been on many other lines..

We recently moved to Orange county from the bay area, so the stop in SF will be fun visiting with family that we left behind..

Only concern... We do not have any kids, but love disney/pixar and are season pass holders down here..

Hope we wont feel left out without kids! :P

Welcome and no worries you won't feel left out without kids. My hubby and I are avid cruisers too, our first Disney cruise was before our daughter was born and we worried about that as well... I had visions of children running wild :-). I could not have been more wrong; Disney does a great job, I could not help but notice that you are often pared with fellow cruiser within your same demographic; Not to mention the kids we did see were begging there parents to go back to the kids clubs.

Welcome! I'm glad you found us in time! Please join us for a meet n greet in the Promenade Lounge at 3pm on embarkation day, there are quite a few of us, should be good!

You definitely don't need to worry about feeling left out without kids. There are quite a number just on this thread who are cruising adults-only. :) Check out the first post for a list of the people sailing!

:welcome: Kim & Chris :welcome:

I think about half the folks on this thread are sans kiddos. Those of us who do may see them 50% of the time as the kid clubs and their new friends are more fun than Mom and Dad.

If you're up all night with excitement, read some of this board... If you're one of those who can sleep the week before a cruise... we're not related :rotfl2:

If you have any questions just ask. There are lots of DCL Vetrans here and locals from each port. We don't mind re-addressing ANY questions you may have. :cool1:

You're have a blast! :dance3:

I just went onto the Ghirardelli website to see they released a pumpkin spice caramel chocolate for fall. I know where my first stop will be in San Francisco! :D

I wish we had cool Halloween and fall candy in New Zealand. You can't even find candy corn here!

Hi everyone!

I am Boridiva Belle, Hollywood Glitter's mom. I am also going on this cruise. This will be my third cruise. We are adult travelers (no children here). We have never felt left out, there is so much to do for the adults. ::yes::We like the second dinner seating because it is mostly adults. On my first cruise I was seated with another mom and daughter. Turned out the mom was my age and the daughter was my daughter's age.
KimnChris do not worry, we Disney people are fun people.:cool1: I live in Anaheim. What time is your check in time? We have 11:30. I am looking forward to meeting you and all the others. :woohoo::banana:

Thank you all for the info on bringing food on board :) I will keep it in mind!

The cupcake shop at Ghirardelli Square, Kara's Cupcakes, is indeed, good. :) There are lots of other bakeries not too far from the dock, too. To name a few: Miette, Cupcake Cove, Victoria Pastry, and Stella's.

As most of you will probably be taking a trip to the Walt Disney Museum, I wanted to note a possible FREE transportation option. The Walt Disney Museum is located in the Presidio (a park area and former military base) at the very top left of the city, which is clear across the city from where your cruise ship will be docking. There is a shuttle which goes to the Presidio that is free and as far as I know, fairly reliable (since it has to transport lots of George Lucas' employees :rotfl2:): http://www.presidio.gov/visit/transportation/Pages/shuttle.aspx Just an option to keep in mind if you will be going from downtown to the Presidio!

I just posted the space shuttle pictures if anyone is interested...

That's an incredible photo. I wish we had been able to get there in time to see that.

We are planning on heading to Giradelli.

My husband and I went to the one at Downtown Disney last month. I decided to try the drinking chocolate. It was so thick. My daughter is obsessed with the movie Grown ups.
After drinking it, I now know the meaning of "chocolate:crazy2: wasted"
