I've just checked both out an found a few nice photos. I have accounts in both but rarely post. I may put some pics on Instagram though.

What's your name on instagram?

:santa: I am not sure if everyone has noticed that Hollywood Glitter has a Disney Secret Santa group that she created and a Holiday card exchange also. I am so excited about both I have never done either. You can find the links in her signature. Thank you for putting the groups together I can't wait to see what my Santa will be sending me in the mail :woohoo::banana:

I am but I haven't paid much attention to it. Has there been any action? Who started it?

I did. Not much action. I started because I coundn't find a FB page for our cruise, and I wanted to invite stray FB folks to join us on the DISboard.

Hi Lise,
Thank you so much. MIL is doing better w/ each day. Meeting w/oncologists today for next steps,
So looking forward to vacation. We are staying 2 nights pre cruise at the Disneyland Hotel visiting w/ our friends from SD. Hoping for good weather.
Take care,
Michele

We know you've been busy taking care of MIL, so DH Chuck thought he'd help with a list of excursions and "appropriate attire" for each ...

  • Pre 1 Fr - Drive 3 mi east of LAX for quick photo at the once "Great Western Forum" former home of the home of the LA Lakers - Celtics shorts & Ts
  • Pre 2 Sa - Drive 3 mi east of Disneyland to Angel Stadium - Red Sox baseball caps
  • Day 1 Su - Drive 3 mi east of Disneyland to Honda Center home of the Anaheim Ducks - Bruins jerseys
  • Day 2 Mo - At Sea - Semi Formal - Patriots Letterman / Red & Blue sparkly dress
  • Day 3 Tu - SF - Visit Candlestick Park home of the SF 49ers - for the fog a Patriots Snorkel (DH says that's an East Coast heavy coat)
  • Day 4 We - SF - Visit AT&T Park home of the SF Giants - Red Socks Hoodies
  • Day 5 Th - At Sea - Formal Night - Tux with Celtics tie and cummerbund / Green sequin dress
  • Day 6 Fr - SD - Visit Qualcomm Stadium home of the SD Chargers - Pats tank tops
  • Day 7 Sa - Ensenada - Visit a local cantina and order a Corona - Samuel Adams T-shirt / cap
  • Day 8 Su - LA - Drive by Staples Center home of the LA Kings - Bruins jogging set and you might want to pick up a hockey stick (not the best part of LA)
I can definitely attest to the fact you can take the boy out of Boston, but you can't get the jerseys out of the closet. :lmao:
I'm just trying to keep him from packing the same wardrobe and no way does he get the keys to the rent-a-car. :rotfl2:

Hi~

I have added your cabin # to the FE list...see you soon!:sail:

Deb :flower3:

Thanks so much for organizing the FE. I've been updating staterooms on my spreadsheet as people have been posing their room assignments and I just wanted to check I havnt missed anyone

Are the only people who havnt got their room assignment yet; The Baier's, Leish and Tylerdisneyfan? :) thanks again!

I was wondering if the swimming pools are heated. And, is it a good idea to take a beach towel along? Or do they have nice towels poolside?

It's nearing the time to pack. Here's some tips I posted earlier but since we have many new folks, I thought I would re-post.

-bring an extension cord or extra outlets. Plugs might be hard to access or 2 few. Nowadays with phones, cameras, and the wave phones DCL provides there just aren't enough outlets.

-bring some air fresher for the bathroom. I suggest the ones you plug in with the night light that way if anyone little ones has to go to the bathroom at night there's some light along the way.

-bring some Clorox disinfecting wipes and hand sanitizer. I usually do a full pass of the room and bathroom with the wipes as soon as I get into the room the first time. I'm not a germaphobe and I know Disney does a good job with cleanliness but cruise ships are some of the places where germs spread the quickest. If you get sick DCL will quarantine you. To me it was worth taking the extra steps to make sure none of us got sick and the stuck in our rooms for the cruise.

- pack some wrinkle spray. The stuff works wonders and will save you from having to iron the every day clothes. For your formal clothes you can have DCL press it for you. I believe it's 1/2 of the cost to dry clean.

- should you need to do a load of wash bring some color catcher sheets. This will allow you to mix the color loads as it catches any bleeding dies from the clothes.

- bring a cheap shoe organizer for the outside of your bathroom door. I use ours for all the shoes so there not scattered all over the place. Others use them for some of their toiletry stuff. It has many uses and will help with the limited space on board.

- for those of you with ocean views, bring some clips to hold your curtains shut against the light in the mornings.

- if you have adjoining rooms bring a bungee type cord to keep your door open. It's useful if your going to have kids going back and forth.

-I cruised the Magic last year and the blow dryer DCL provided was very weak. For you ladies or girls that depend on a blow dryer, you may want to bring your own.

- decorate your door. Not only is it fun but it helps you find your room quickly. It's especially great for the kids.

Hope this helps!

Hi Megan~

You are so welcome! We are just waiting for room assignments from: The Baier's and Tylerdisneyfan.

I will be sending out the FE list this coming Sunday with all the room assignments I have so far. Hopefully, we will have them all by then...

See you soon...

I know that on the Alaska cruise they heated the pools but I'm not sure if it will be cold enough for them to do so on our cruise. You definitely don't have to pack any beach towels. They keep a constant supplies going in the bins near all the pools.
