Transportation info

Ok fellow cruisers. I finally found the list of transportation companies. I'm working from my iPhone/iPad so cant copy and paste her document to the disboards but if you want to email me at lisaanngrant@gmail.com I will forward it to you if you still need it. Sorry for the delay.

I had a list of everyone who needed it but my PM's didn't all save. LiseG I did have your email address.

Happy cruising.

Sounds like u have already been there. We r leaving our house now our plan is to watch it leave.

We are going back tonight to watch it leave too. If you want to meet up look for us in the Cruise Ship viewing area. My dad walks with a black cane. You should be able to spot us

Where Is that exactly? We got pics of the ship near the Catalina terminal, thanks to deb for showing us the pic spot :)

Where are you coming from north or south on the 110? I'm going to PM you my number and I can give you directions

If anyone else wants to join us. This would be a fun pre-meet!

I saw some responses to this but I'm still unclear... would this be going over a door or is there a hook on the back of the door I can use? And we're talking the bathroom, door, right (not the stateroom door)? Thanks!

I saw the advice for an "over the door shoe holder" and wondered if this would work? http://www.amazon.com/Clear-Vinyl-P...sr=8-34&keywords=over+the+door+shoe+organizer . It looks like it's more for hanging in a closet than going over a door but maybe there is a door hook somewhere I could put it on?

EDIT: Just saw this (http://www.amazon.com/Unknown-Overd...1347811296&sr=8-1&keywords=door+pet+organizer), which I think looks pretty good too, except I can't quite see exactly how it hangs... If you go to the site, click on the pic and then click it again to see it- at first I couldn't see it (broken link) but it worked when I clicked on the pic anyway.

From what I remember there was a hook on the back of the bathroom door. I think this would be fine. If all else fails it can go in the closet and that is right next to the bathroom

1) Sorry if this has already been asked. I know we get a boarding time but is it possible to get on prior?

2) for FE participants: I was planning on making something yummy & edible. Is there anyone that is untrusting of things like this & would just throw it out? I wont be offended- just don't wanna spend the time if it's gonna go in the trash. :scratchin

We just got off that cruise! Were docked before 6am and the first passengers were getting off before 7:30. We left at 7:45 for LAX-nice-no traffic. We were in the airport checked in by 8:30am. (In fact we are still sitting in the lounge-our flight doesn't leave until 1pm) Weather wasn't fabulaous but at least we had no rain.
LA was so fogged in we couldn't see anything this morning

So how was it????

Homemade food items are not allowed through security. However I know sometimes people can get stuff through. I wouldn't risk it only because I wouldn't like to see something yummy thrown away.

You won't be able to get on the ship earlier but sometimes you can check in port earlier it just depends on your scheduled boarding time and how many people are currently in line

Thanks, everyone, for the advice. I ended up picking this one b/c it the cheapest I could find w/ the most pockets: http://www.amazon.com/Imperial-Over-Pocket-Hanging-Organizer/dp/B0084IDVA6/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1347841438&sr=8-2&keywords=24+pocket+shoe+organizer .

On another note, you know the free drink stations... Do the cups come w/ lids? If we plan to walk around w/ those drinks, I'm just wondering if maybe we should bring our own cups...

Thanks!

Yup ... There are small kids size cups with plastic lids like when you get fast food. Some people recommend bringing their own larger cups with lids.

Bring your own cups... Yes they give you cups with lids but they are so small you find yourself having to get up and grab new ones all the time. I also would bring a tumbler for your coffee or tea in the morning because those cups are really tiny and that just won't do for my coffee in the morning lol. :)

Is anyone staying in the area the night before, Susie and I just booked at the long beach best western for the night before. So I figured we would just cab it to the port the next morning :) just curious

Very nice pics! Thanks for sharing and getting those of us far from port every so excited! :dance3:

I never even thought of putting the hanging organizer in the closet ;)
