September 30, 2012 - "To San Francisco and Beyond"

OGT and VGT rates have been published for the Sept 16th cruise,
OGT (ocean view) $1847
VGT (veranda) $1947

OGT rates for the Sept 23rd cruise $1847

can our cruise be far behind? Thinking of canceling my 11B cabin and booking one of these OGT or VGT rates if they become available for our cruise. What to do, what to do.......

or try to upgrade at the port, any advice? our paid in full date is still 9 days away

I'm thinking the same. A category 9 would only be $80 more and if we don't get upgraded we were going to upgrade at the port. Last time we were in a 12gty we got upgraded to a 9b. We have to get a split bath so I may play it safe and change to a 09 VGT

Hello everyone! I finally got a chance to head over to say hi to everyone cruising with us :)

It'll be myself and my other half cruising with you all!

Has anyone given any thoughts to excursions yet? We're thinking of just using public transportation in San Diego to go up to La Jolla and Balboa park to explore.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone...and for the two folks from the Greater Toronto area - you're looking at another few of us. :)

Hello everyone...:wave2:

I have been asked by some of our fellow cruisers if we will
be having a meet and greet like some of the other cruises have
been doing.

So...how about a Dis-meet on Sunday at 3:00 pm at the
"Promenade Lounge" on deck 3?party:

so I thought I'd join this group to finally partake in the fish extender experience. Only, I almost joined the Sept 30, Fantasy cruise! Good thing they started talking about hotels at MCO. :rotfl:
We are booked GTY, our first time so I am a little nervous. We have never had an inside cabin but since this was a last minute booking I couldn't convince hubby to spend more. Esp since we just got back from a cruise in June. At any rate, it will be me, my husband and our 10 yo and 7 yo daughters. We are trying to take a Disney cruise before they leave CA so it seems silly that we will be visiting our hometown of San Diego but I didn't want to end up flying and paying for a cruise too. We last went on the Wonder when my youngest was 8 months old so she doesn't remember anything about it and keeps complaining she never went on a Disney cruise. Hence, the GTY. At any rate, fire away with any San Diego questions you might have and I will try to answer.

Welcome aboard! I may have to take you up on the San Diego offer if things come to mind as we get closer to cruise time :) Nothing wrong with hitting your hometown on the cruise - use it as an opportunity to do something in the city you've always wanted to do but never had the chance! :cool1:

So just had to share since I'm having an happy day! Woke up with morning and got to open the present my other half has had out on the table all week for my birthday...inside a new macro lens for my digital SLR. So looking forward to being able to use that puppy on this cruise!

Is it October yet? :rotfl:

Happy Birthday, Silversae! I got a new camera right before my last cruise to Alaska and I took so many more pictures. A nice camera is a lot of fun. have a great day!

That's so funny. We totally bought this new camera a few months before OUR alaska cruise last year in part because we knew we would want to be able to have greater control over our pics. We almost ended up bringing out film SLR and digital SLR :)

I'm a bit of a camera nerd but had held off getting a digital SLR because i still REALLY enjoy film. There will be some fantastic photo ops on this cruise i'm sure - even if a different style than Alaska :thumbsup2

Yeah! Some more girls!!! My daughter is 9 and we will be cruising with her 9 year old cousin in our cabin as well. We also have a 12, 7 and 4 years old cousins (girls), AND 12 and 10 year old boy cousins on this cruise with us.

We are also from San Diego originally (go Padres!), so it is weird to have our cruise ship docking there.....but sssoooo many great things to see/do there for everyone on the ship.

Hope to meet you onboard. :flower3:
