I am in the midst of planning a 2-day trip in late September. We decided on the week of September 26th, and I realized that Thursday, 9/29 is a school holiday for many So Cal districts (just to name a few...Los Angeles Unified, Las Virgenes, Ventura County, Santa Monica/Malibu, Simi Valley, and more).
Touring Plans doesn't seem to think this will matter, but I think it will. I wonder if TP accounts for this date because it's a Jewish holiday, and thus the actual date changes every year.
