I did have a OBC. Now I have double that amount. I really did put up this fight for the principal of it all. When I rebook at the Cast Rate all will be lost. I agree that this is new territory and also maybe one reason why 2014 is not out yet cause the Dream has to get to Drydock. Karl Holtz is the President if DCL.

aan1701 Wow, I can't believe the hassle they were giving you. Guess I was living in "never never land" where Disney actually makes things right for their guests. Obviously that doesn't happen in the real world.
Anyway, I'm glad that you were able to be sufficiently accommodated on the Oct 6 cruise. I hope you and your friends have a wonderful and uneventful cruise/wedding.
Paula: I can't believe you were actually told to avoid booking in September to avoid DVC cruise changes. That was just totally rude. Maybe you should let all the DIS boards know that Disney says not to book in Sept to avoid cancellation problems. That could cause quite a rucus for DCL!!!

What about the 10% onboard booking discount? I seem to remember you booking this during your Hawaii cruise. Did that carryover as well?

I have a feeling 2014 is going to be released any day, given I was able to book 2013 by early Dec. last year. Wonder how long the Dream's drydock will be? Probably not enough time to build satellite falls but maybe they can air condition the virtual golf!!!! that's where all the characters like to hangout on the fantasy!! those costumes are HOT!

It's a members' cruise with no passengers other than my group right now. So welcome to "our" cruise! The only offense taken is by current "members" already booked on it. We are well aware of DVC policy regarding these situations, so if you do decide to book...Welcome aboard!

You can also edit the title of the thread so that this is still relevant once everything is situated with the members who have decided to stay and others have been (sadly) moved to their new cruises.

Good luck! The person I spoke to at dcl said to avoid this in future dont book a cruise in september....how about dvc organise themselves instead and charter cruises before they go public? How were we suppose to know! Also what if next year they decide on october and didnt they randomly have one in Jan next year? Like its our responsibility to guess!

Ugh. That is horrible. They should get their act together ahead of time. It's not like this is a new thing. They should have a better procedure by now.

JQ that is a good idea to change the title of this thread and have a mod merge the other thread started into this one. This one was started first and that way people won't be confused by two threads for the same cruise.

We decided to keep this cruise but our booking won't be official until Dec 9. So excited for 2 member cruises in one year.
