I don't know what was in that pixiedust you were throwing around, but my daughter came down with a fever yesterday. She came in our room this morning and said that it was 103.

I think we will have to quarantine her in her room to protect the rest of us. It's every man for himself at this point.

Well, I just got back from the salon gettin my hair done before the BIG trip!

I L-O-V-E everyone's pics... such happy, beautiful kids and families!

Jac: aaawww I was expecting a mean looking guy.....

Should we give a copy of the roster (LAWalz/Lori is making a check off list) to everyone.. just in case we want to get in touch with one another onboard?

Sadly, we didn't get our docs today... our costco TA lied!!!!!!

Is anyone else getting the seasickness patch? I'll try to get one tomorrow from my doc.

Been on four cruises...Never had sea sickness. You know they tried all those remidies on Mythbusters. The patch did not fair too well. Maybe it is in the head.

I personally love the swaying at night. It is like I'm being rocked to sleep.

Here's the most recent photo I have of my kids. This is the first day of school this year. Of course DS has to have that sideways smirk. He thinks since he started playing football that he's not supposed to smile in photos.

In searching for photos I realized that I'm always on the other side of the camera. I'll have to see if I can get a quick shot of DH and I this weekend.

Feel better, everyone. I started feeling a little upper respitory stuff a couple of days ago, so I've started vitamins and airborne. Hope we all get healthy!

Wow, I've been gone for 2 days, and there are over 10 pages of posts! We really are an excited group of people!

Still no docs here, but my TA assured me we would have them today or tomorrow at the latest.

I hear you guys about the sicknesses. I came down with a stomach bug Tuesday night, and all thoughout all I could think about is "wow, I'm glad this isn't a week and a half from now!" As I was in the ER getting an IV, I just kept counting out if I had enough days left to get better before the cruise! I even started counting out if there was enough time for the bug to make its way though my house in time - there is, as my DH has it now, and apparently my DD's upset tummy on Sunday was the same thing. Phew! If we're going to have it, we need to get it done before the cruise!

I'm excited for everyone who got their docs! I was excited just to hear from my TA that he had mine yesterday, even if I didn't have them yet! Maybe I'm just easily excited.

After all this, I am sooo ready for a vacation! Is it next Saturday yet??

I agree, that door sign is wicked cute! I wish DD was turning 4 on the ship but she'll have to wait until we're home. Her birthday is October 15th.

I'm hoping to surprise all of them with post cards. There's nothing nicer than sending a post card to your friends and family to officially remind them you went on vacation and they didn't and here's the proof!

DCL does not mind if you celebrate a different date than the official date. You are celebrating! So, go for it. Make a big deal of DD's birthday. I believe in celebrating the BIRTH SEASON. It begins whenever I say so and ends when I say so. All of it is in honor of my arrival on the planet!

I always wondered WHY we send postcards. Now I know

Oh no llarkiniii....hope your dd is feeling better very soon and hope noone else gets it !

Pauline....I have never used the patch. I bring bonine though. I really only seem to need it the first night. Once we cross the Gulf stream, things seem to settle down with me. But usually it's just that first night dinner that I feel a little queasy until I get my sea legs. Usually 1/2 a Bonine is good for me. Here's hoping none of us get sea sick.....that's no fun !

Regarding postcards... I've read somewhere that you can buy the CC postcards on the ship? I'd like to write on it and address them before we get to CC so that all I have to do is put a stamp on it.
For those of you sending postcards, don't forget to print out address labels to those you plan to send to and also change for the stamp machine at CC.
I don't know how much it is to send a postcard to the U.S. from there.. does anyone know??

I have posted to two other sites with only a few responses from other folks and I kept thinking "is there only going to be a few people on this ship with us?" Then I stumbled upon this site accidentally and started reading the posts today-got to page 10 and had to stop, sign up and post! you guys sound like a great group of people and can't wait to meet you

wow! You all have been vvverrry busy over the last month. I haven't found time to get on the boards in a while because of school. But to those that haven't been on here for awhile...my name is David and my two roommates are going with me on the cruise! I am reallly excited about the cruise I just can't wait! It is just 8 days away!
