I wish I could.....I JUST got my formal dress tonight. Nothing like waiting until the last moment.....now I'm working on my door signs

I've got every single remedy available for seasickness...
Uhhh....Pauline....what cabin are you in again ? I know who to go to if we have a sea sickness problem :tilt: ;)

:yay: Hi Zane Anthony,

Count me in for the goodie bags. We're flying in so I'll have to pick something up once we get down there. Thinking maybe popcorn, pretzels or some other snack. We won't be able to go to the meet on the 28th b/c although we will be at MK that day, we are not doing the MNSS event and will be driving to Port Canaveral to sleep over at the Radisson to take the shuttle the next morning. Thanks for the invite though. See you on the 29th! :woohoo:

Great that sounds good...See ya at 3:00 on the 29th in the Promenade lounge!!

I'll chat. Let's go!

See the post with the link on the main forum page.

I'm there but I don't recognize anyone!

:lmao: Keep 'em coming JD ! :thumbsup2

Congrats on getting the dress. I did my door sign the past couple of weeks. It's nothing really special, the best I can do and it's better than nothing. Which reminds me, I need to go to Home Depot this weekend and get the paint chip things.

Right now we have 100 pirate themed baggies and I just bought 60 surfboard ones today as back up and I bought some ribbon to tie them together. Do you think we will need more then 3 baggies a kid? :confused3

The count is 47 as of tonight! :) Glad we will have some extra bags so we can make a few more with leftover stuff for some of the older kids. :cool1: I know I have about 8 extra glow sticks and about 6 extra gummies.

OMG! We have been booked for this cruise for the past 18 months and been planning and longing for it for 2.5 years! I have posted to two other sites with only a few responses from other folks and I kept thinking "is there only going to be a few people on this ship with us?" Then I stumbled upon this site accidentally and started reading the posts today-got to page 10 and had to stop, sign up and post! you guys sound like a great group of people and can't wait to meet you :grouphug:

Here's our family stats:

me (Vicky) age 39
DH Tom age 44
DD Megan who will be turning 12 the day we depart
DS Adam who is 3 months away from age 4

1st time cruising anywhere for all of us. Can't wait! Sorry it took me so long to find you guys and now it's almost here!!!

We booked 15 months ago while my mother was in ICU. It was one of the things that kept us sane! :scared1: Mom doesn't remember a lot about her hospital stay but does remember sis and I telling her about the cruise and that she had to get better to come with us! I even paid hers and dad's deposits as a get well present!

I will have some extra pirate snacky things too. I think there are 60+ in the box I bought? The box is buried under all the other cruise stuff so I can't give you the actual number because that mountain cannot be moved until Thursday!

That was really nice of you!!!! She has a great daughter!

Anyone have a 7 year old in the OE club for the 9/29 cruise?

My son is Griffin and look forward to meeting new people.

Thanks

Jim

:cool2:
[/QUOTE] Our DD (Karlee) is 7! She is excited that there are others her age in our group!

gREAT!! Our DD (Maddie) is also 7. She'll be glad to meet Karlee and Griffin!!:yay:

Did you guys chat?? I was about to.. but my friend called so we took the kids to chuck e cheese's.

Maria:  hahahah seriously, I have the patches, dramamine (for kids and adults) and bonine. I don't have the seabands 'coz I tried those when I was pregnant and it didn't work :confused3

Anyway.. almost done with the laundry and when I figure out what clothes to bring.. I'll be done with packing :woohoo:

Can you guys believe it??????? 6 more days!!!!!!!!!! I keep looking at weatherchannel.com and nothing has changed... please change to sunny and perfect!pixiedust:

Lori: is it 47 now Lori? I'm sure we can make extra bags.. I'll be bringing some candies and chocolates for Sarah's pinata.. so she'll have some extra. In fact, if they don't let her have the pinata at the club.. we can get the kids get together and have a little party of their own!

Does anyone here in our group have peanut allergy or severe allergy problems? (for those who we're giving out candy to)

I'm sooooooooooo excited!!!!!!!

Sweet dreams everyone!

That's a beautiful gesture and it would certainly have been a good incentive for ME to get well. :flower: Is she doing Ok now? Hopefully this cruise will be very therputic for her and the rest of the family that is coming. Let's have a magical vacation no matter what! :tinker:

Welcome Vicky!:welcome: This is our first cruise ever too! I'm sure you checked out the first page.. we have a couple of DISmeets planned. Hope you can make it! :flower3:
Was there another thread for our cruise??

Gr00vyChc :hippie:

Hi and thanks for the welcome! I had been watching the Passporter and Cruise Critic boards and there wasn't alot of activity there. Now I see why! Everyone was here! :confused3

Oh well, better late than never I guess. Can't believe we leave for Florida on Thursday- we've been waiting soooo long :hourglass
Hope to see you at the meet on Saturday!

Welcome Vicky!!! I hope you will join us at our meet on Saturday at 3 pm in the Promendae Lounge. :wizard:

Pauline, We had 3 nights at WDW booked and then free dining came out and we got an additional 4 nights for $150! I couldn't pass it up. SO yes, we are going for TWO weeks! :cool1:

Thanks everyone for the well wishes. I can't wait to meet everyone!

Hi Veronica

Yep, we'll be there on Saturday at 3 barring any complications (don't even want to think about that!). Can't wait to meet and have fun with everyone. See you real soon :smickey:

LAWalz23 : Mom doesn't remember a lot about her hospital stay but does remember sis and I telling her about the cruise and that she had to get better to come with us! I even paid hers and dad's deposits as a get well present!

So nice of you LAWAlz......brings back memories for me. Dh's mom was hospitalized one Christmas week back in 2001. We found out she had cancer on Christmas eve. We shortly after, booked a Disney cruise because we knew she had wanted to go on one for awhile and deep in our hearts, we knew we wouldn't have her long. We paid for my mil to go and went on a 4 day Wonder cruise in 11/02. She was sooooo happy on that cruise. Sadly, she lost her fight in 8/04. Whenever we plan and go on a disney cruise we think of her. We used to take her on vacation with us all the time. My youngest dd wrote a poem about her last year in school which has been hanging on our refrigerator since then. I am glad my kids have the memory of that cruise with her....among other terrific times to treasure.

Here is a picture of one of the last times we vacationed with her and she was so happy and relaxed (she was all of 4 foot 10 inches tall and a ball of energy) :

Thanks for letting me share that memory with you all. Not to sound philisophical, but time is so precious with family.
So LAWalz....what you're doing for your mom and dad is so wonderful. Hope your mom is doing well and you all have a wonderful time on the cruise. Your parents are lucky to have you !

:lmao: That's called a school dress code. They must wear a solid colored shirt with a collar and then either denim, navy, brown, black, or green shorts/pants. There can be no cargo pockets, 'cause you know they might conceal something in there. :confused3 I only slightly poke fun at it. It is extremely easy to buy clothes and get them dressed in the morning. "What color polo shirt today, son?" :thumbsup2

Welcome, Vicky!!! Love your screen name! Join in the fun. :cool1:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: ...And i thought your kids were trying to be Gap models...lol...We come from a school district were we graduate only 100-115 kids a year..the "dress code" is alot less strict..any who... your kids are still adorable..:)

That confirms it!!! I AM sick in the head :lmao: Thanks Jac:laughing: (hence all the laughing icons)

Christa: Here's hoping that you got your docs today too!!:wizard: Although, there's really nothing in there.. kinda anti climatic.. I was all excited about it and then... nothing  But it's still nice to receive it 'coz it just means we're sooooo much closer to our VACATION!!!

Gr00vyChc :hippie:

All the...:wizard: didn't help...TY..though....I want them cause they are mine!!!!...wow did I just sound like my kids..lol..:rotfl2:

I'm starting to think the neighbors took them.. ...I knew the were jealous...cause we are going...but this is just mean....lmao..:lmao:

Gr00vyChc :hippie:

HI! I can't believe all of the beautiful pictures! If I can figure out how to do it, I will post ours!!

My DS has a peanut allergy. I just have to sort through everything before I let him dig in! Thanks for asking!!!!

We leave in exactly 5 days! I still haven't started packing or even got a list together yet. HELP!! I don't want to even think about how many bags we are going to have. REALLY it's NOT me with all of the clothes it's my HUSBAND!!! You should see him pack....

Do you know what we will be doing this time next week? That's right, we will be comparing boarding pass numbers! :woohoo: :dance3:

So, here are my plans today but not necessarily in this order:
  1. haircut for DS and me
  2. go to Home Depot to get Disney paint chips to complete door-decoration-look
  3. buy photo mat because I am now convinced I need one
  4. cruise laundry-for all our new cruise clothes :rolleyes1
  5. re-write my "need to buy in Florida" list because I learned yesterday you cannot take aeresol on the plane, even in checked baggage (thanks Irene!)
  6. call Checkered Cab about transportation to the terminal

Can you think of anything else I need to do???
