Jac got touchy because I said I was concerned about grouchy tablemates, we're linked with Jac and Christa's families. :rotfl:

Oooh, make it 5 if you get there before I do. Me and Fallon plan on tea too. princess:

Last night I remembered to check the front door and WE GOT OUR DOCS! :cheer2: Good thing you guys posted here about receiving yours, we go in through the garage and I may not have noticed the package for another week.

How will I know if I get to Guest Services before you do? :confused3
Yay!! You got docs!!!

:cool1:

This is my first Disney cruise. I will be joined by my DH, DS (age 3) and parents. My son turns 3 on October 7th so this is his birthday cruise.
We all love cruising. This will be our seventh cruise.

Is it too late to join the meet and greets? If it is not too late please add us to the list and we will find something to bring for the goodie bags.

thanks

Welcome Bowman1:welcome:
Lots of birthdays on this cruise party: My DD will be celebrating her 4th birthday on Oct. 1st when we cruise!

I'll add your name to the goodie bag list and Suer's will add you to the Disboarders list :yay:

Hi everyone. Just checking in. :welcome: to all the newbies. We've got our Docs too! I can't wait till next week. I'll be at guest services right away to get Tea with Alice tickets too. Unfortunately Mike won't be joining us. At least he told me all this now and didn't completely ruin our vacation.

I probably won't be on much because I have to work every single day except tuesday until we leave. I also have a ton of shopping to do still, and a house that looks like a hurricane hit it. I'll be reading occasionally, but I probably won't have enough time to post. Hope everyone gets there Docs soon.

Have a good day,
Shannon

Sorry I have been MIA. I leave this am for a overnight business trip and then Friday we finish packing and fly out Friday Night.

Sorry I wont have time to update all our new Disers. Welcome.

See you either at 6:30 in front of the castle at MNNSHP. (We will be the adult pirates, a ghoul of some kind, and a little cat (to sexy for a 6 year old).

Otherwise see you on the ship. :cool1:  :hippie:

No docs for me yet... Getting concerned...

Don't worry, there's really nothing in there that you can't get online or at the port except for the luggage tags which you really only need if you're using the DCL transfer from the airport so that they know to pick your bags up.

All will be well! :grouphug:

Hi Bowman 1! :yay: It looks like there will be lots of preschoolers on board. This is great news for our little ones if they plan on going to the clubs. :wizard:

If you love cruising and this is your first DC...you will never go back!!!! Disney Cruises are the best!!! Even for adults (if you can really call my DH and I that...he's worse than the kids about disney. We have a Mickey topiary in our front yard, a mickey door mat, a mickey flag and a mickey hitch cover. The neighbors call our house the mickey house!)

My DD will be celebrating her 8th bday on board...and there are lots of other bdays!

Welcome, we can't wait to meet everyone!!!:cool1: :yay: :dance3:

I just checked the rates for our hotel stays before and after the cruise. I was able to upgrade at the "before cruise" hotel to a nicer room (suite) for cheaper than what I originally booked (standard). And I lowered the "after cruise" hotel rate by about $30! So, check your rates!! :hippie:

No docs for me yet... Getting concerned...

Don't be concerned at all! I just got mine, and I guess I thought there was more to it. I got the paper strip tags but I thought we would get cute luggage tags too. I know when I book a WDW vacation through Disney Travel we always get the sturdy holographic luggage tags so I guess I was expecting something like that. Oh well!

THANK YOU for posting that! I just checked mine - I was at $115 for the 1 bedroom suite, and now it's down to $99! :goodvibes

Hi shipmates,

I am so excited about this cruise. It is our first, and we aren't sure what to expect. The things I ordered for the goody bags came in. I see some are already on this list, but I'll bring ours in anyway. They may not be exactly alike. Anyway, my friend and I are contributing some more gummy skull and crossbones, pirate tattoos, and some gold hoop clip-on earrings.

We got our docs in the mail this past week. We are in the 2nd dining seating. I'm kind of bummed about that, so ya'll convince me I shouldn't be. Our girls are 8 (just this month) and 5. We want to see the shows onboard and all that good stuff. Does that conflict with the 2nd seating? I mean they usually go to bed around the time we're scheduled to start dinner.

Also, I have heard that we can bring pillowcases on board and had them off on day 1, and they will get signed by all the characters during the cruise. Is this correct or did I just dream this up? If it is true, do I need to bring in fabric pens or line the inside of the pillowcase with something, so the markers don't bleed through.

I'll be an old salt after this cruise, but for now, I just feel so out of my element.

Thanks everyone,

With late dinner seating the good news is that you get to go to the early shows that start at 6:30 and eat dinner afterwards. With early seating, we are going to the shows at 8:30.

Yes, you can take the pillowcases to guest services. They can sign it with whatever you bring: Sharpies or Fabric Markers. Here is a picture of my Eva with a signed photo mat. I posted this but I have no idea what page it is on.
The end result will be similar to the pillowcase.

Yeah, we got our docs today. How can I tell which dinner seating we are at? Is that included in the paperwork?

Thanks,
Pete

Congratulations on getting your docs!!!:cool1: We'll have ours on thursday... so I have to wait 1 more day. :thumbsup2 Getting the docs make it seem even more real that we're going on vacation in 8 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know.. I found out YESTERDAY that they actually put your dinner seating time on your reservation.. so go to the DCL website and retrieve your reservation and it'll show on that page..

We have late seating too at 8:30.. we opted for late seating 'coz we normally eat late and we're in the west coast. I think either way, you can see the shows.. late or early seating. For us, we'll be watching the shows earlier.. I wonder which time is it more crowded in the theaters??

Hi MiniGirl: Would you PM me with your kids names under 12 and also your cabin# (we're making labels for the goody bags and we're putting this info on the labels).

Yes - why? Did you find rate that is a lot cheaper?!?! :scared1::laughing:

No! That's where we're staying the night before. We originally had the standard room but when I checked rates today, I found the Kids Suite was cheaper so changed to that!!

Welcome!!! Your DS and I share the same birthday!! (Well, same day anyway - I've got 36 years on him!) :rotfl:

hi guys,

My wife Maureen, Griffin and I will be going down to DW on 9/25 then spending a few days there before the cruise on 9/29.

Any goings on I should know about (I'm not looking through the 190 pages:)

We got our docs yesterday.

Hey we are getting a private car to the port on Saturday morning. This is our 4th cruise and usually use the transfer service. What is the earliest the port opens to get the magical little card we all want so bad (you know..."now boarding #1")???

Any one from MD?

See you soon.

Jim

PS. I don't know anything about the meet and greet. How does it work and can we still get in?

thanks
