Just a question:confused3 How do we identify "our kids" meaning the ones we have in our group from kids that just happen to be where we are when we are giving out the bags? I only ask this because we seem to have just the right amount and my brother's kids would try and get a bag if they saw them being given out and their parents would think nothing of it:rolleyes: . Thank goodness it is my sister's kids who we are cruising with and they know the meaning of sharing, as twins they have done it since conception:goodvibes I would have no problem giving out extras to other kids that just happened to be present but I would like to make sure that "our kids" get first, if they want one!

I never thought about that...could be a problem.:confused3

And I'm in for everything.... stuff -n- drinks, 80's night, margarita's, girls night out...whatever wherever...lol..:dance3:

Ragdoll, November Rain is mine and DH's "Song"...awh...sigh...I wanted it to be our first "dance" at our wedding, but if you ever saw the video it didn't seem to be a good chioce... :cool1:

I got home and tried the shirts on DD because I wasn't so sure the size I got her was right. :confused3 So, when I tried them on her, she commented they were too tight and she couldn't breathe. They were snug but fit. I made her do the "raise your arms" test to see if her belly showed. They were fine but she was yanking the thing off her and that's not going to work! :sad2: So, I was talking to DH at the time (He made it to KC safe and sound) and he told me to take them back and get her another size :rolleyes: :rolleyes: Does this man know what he is suggesting?? :laughing: :woohoo: Well, that was a green light in my opinion so I loaded the kids up and we drove the 20 miles back to the store and even the CM recognized me from earlier today. (I was hoping they would have had a shift change!! :sad2:) Okay, so this time I exchanged her shirts, got another shirt for me :rolleyes1 , 2 backpacks (a cute Minnie Mouse one for me and a cute Princess one for DD - we need them for the plane!!), 1 wallet (because it can hang on my wrist and carry my KTTW card and stuff), and a stuffed Woody doll DD wanted (it was cheaper than the other stuffed thing she originally said she wanted)! I called my sister on the way home and she wanted to know what my DH was thinking suggesting I go back! :banana: :rolleyes1 I promise, no more trips. I can't afford it any way! :cutie:

So...are you suggesting we make a list of people who have contributed to the bags or a list of people active on our thread? A thought :idea: (and let me know what you think) is that a couple of us could later deliver bags to the appropriate rooms. Like one of us staying on deck 2 could volunteer to delliver the bags to the appropriate deck 2 people, someone staying on Deck 5 could volunteer to deliver to the appropriate deck 5 people and so on. Make sense?
 
Regarding the goody bags... we can make small labels (like address labels) with all the kids names, stick it on to the bags and that's how we would keep track of who we give it out to. I can make the labels if everyone will give me their kids names and first initial of their last names, just in case of any duplicate first names. I'll bring extra labels for those we miss. I will also post the list here. What do you think??

sounds good to me to label them or have a check off with our kids,I am listed for the goody bags,but not on the list for disboarders,we are grammy,alexander 4, addison 5. thanks:dance3: wish those docs would come:banana:

I think that is a great idea...what does everyone else think? We just want to make sure that all of our wonderful DIS kids get them first because they have the cool parents that love the DIS :cool1:

Jac's idea about delivering them to the rooms was good too...only problem would be going at a time to ensure someone was in the room to accept the bag ???

Since we are really close on the #'s we want to be careful .... any other suggestions? :idea:
 
Delivering them is a great idea, for those who absolutely can't make it to the dismeet or whenever we pass them out. But we should have the bags labeled already so we can keep track of them and keep track of who gets them.

Real quick post!!! But I just went to the Disney store and they had REALLY NICE t-shirts for $5 each. They are the Studio Collection ones - if you're familiar with those. Any way -- I just had to rush back and tell everyone!! And the best part was (for me) is that DH is on his way to Kansas City so there was no possible way he could stop me from my madness!!!! :dance3: :woohoo: :banana: :cool1: :rotfl:

My big box already came from Disney Shopping complete with two of the $5 shirts for Eva, two princess costumes, pins, a swimsuit and pj's for Eva and a tank top for me. :banana:
 
Stuffing Bags: The Promenade Lounge is a usually quiet place where we could geta drink and stuff bags. I'm out the hour before the Monday DisMeet though because we have PALO bruch at 10:30 am. Another thought might be late at night after the kiddos are in bed. DH baby sitting hour. ;)

Ladies Meet: I am up for whatever. I will probably still do the Martini tasting Sunday at 4, if any ladies are interested

That sounds like a good place if it's pretty quite and has somewhere we can spread out. Late night or before lunch either one works for me. I was thinking about the martini tasting. I have never had one but I think they are cute :rotfl2: Well I think the label idea is a good one. Do you think we should go by the list on the front page or should everyone with a kid that is 12 and under that they think would want a bag reply with their name and last initial :confused: I am thinking there may be some people on that list that will not show up. I know a lot of those names do not look familiar :confused3

By having the room number, we can later contact that family to notify them So-And-So has their bag and they can make arrangements with whoever volunteers to get that bag to them? Maybe there should also be a spreadsheet so we mark off what got picked up and what didn't?

Formal Night: DH and DS in tuxes, DD in long dress, me in formal shorter dress. Semi formal: DH and DS in some part of Tuxes, DD in satin dress, me in satin dress. Finding shoes for DD has been a challenge. To convince her of the formal dress I bought her a matching purse. To get the shoes for the semi formal that I like best, I bought her another matching purse. (Oh, and one for me too).

If you can't bring the feet to the shoes, bring the shoes to the feet. (lots of returning of wrong size shoes)

I think the labels and spreadsheet are a great idea then there shouldn't be any kids left out and if something were to come up and someone not be able to make it to lunch then they should still be able to get a bag.
