Ha! The 80's... that was 'my' decade! The party sounds like a lot of fun.

It's getting really real, guys! Fed Ex delivered our pirate shirts today! I ordered the kids baskets from Shirley and ordered children's Bonine and Safe Sea today from Drugstore.com. Gosh, what is the suitcase weight limit?!!

Hi There - I am cruising on October 20th (Western as well).

First may I say that I hope you all have a great time when you leave on the 29th.

Second I hope this thread continues during and after the cruise with a Trip Report - we cant wait to hear lots of good things about the cruise. Including the most recent Navigators.

Oh sure, keep telling us how you've lost weight!! I've been dieting and exercising since last summer and I think I've lost 10 pounds. Have you seen that commercial where the stick figure woman is complaining about trying to lose weight and her stick figure husband keeps losing and losing and she stays the same?? The reason that commercial is hysterical to women is because it's TRUE!!

Okay, sorry I'm grumpy - hunger does that to a person. Congrats on your weight loss and your awesome wife Tracy!! You're a lucky man!

DU got back with me about the docs and she said that Disney told her they send them out 10 to 14 days before the cruise. I thought we got them earlier than that before! Here's to hoping we get them sooner!

omigosh! i am soooooooooo excited already!
anyone else planning to leave their kids at the pumba pajama party and go out dancing??? it's a good thing our cruise is for 7 days.. there's so much fun things to do! we plan to go to the movies with my DD who just started to go to the movies (first movie ever-ratatouille) so now she wants to see underdog while we're on our cruise
We can't wait!!

Do the docs come in the mail or by fedex/ups?? hhmmm

Also, anyone else renting a car?? is there a drop off on port canaveral? where are you dropping off your car? how do i book the dcl busses to go back to mco? any help is appreciated!! thanks!

I do want to get out to the club at least one night but we will see how it goes...

Last year, our docs came UPS.

We want to see Underdog on board as well. I see that on the last Eastern cruise it was shown in the Walt Disney Theater. Cool!

As for the rental car, every rental company is different. Mousesavers has a list of every car rental agency and where they are located in relation to the port. Some offer shuttles, others do not. National actually requires you to take a cab at your expense!

You can book the bus through your travel agent or through DCL.

Someone asked about Dreams Unlimited at some point and asked who used them. We are using them and did last year as well.

Suers: I know.. I have lots to do still: order stuff for the pirate goodie bags, buy a cheapie stroller for my DD, arrange for transportation, mail my box, buy a bday present for my DD to open (while we cruise).... AND my DD starts preschool next tuesday so I have a lot of things going on... but I'm sooooooo excited!!

What PJ Party? If there's a PJ party - we're going to leave DD there if she'll stay. We'll take as much "adult" time as we can get. I was reading in my Passporter that if you want, you can take your kids to the clubs at night, dressed in their pj's and they'll put them on a mat if they get sleepy. May have to do that one or two nights. Ibela and I are already plotting to go to 80's night!!!

My MIL is actually going to be on the ship with her girlfriend and I am thinking of having the couch bed made up for her in my MIL's stateroom and then have her fall asleep in there and move her after we are finished. Or we may do the kid's club nap/movie thing too. At this point, I think we are doing 80's night-DH also said he really wants to do this.

As for having DH babysit, how do you (and other ladies too!) feel about "mom's afternoon out." I was eyeing the 4:00 Martini Tasting on Sunday, I think. DH has no interest so I might sign up alone. Anyone care to join me?

Oh name one song?? Just one?? There are so many. It was the decade of some great songs. I like "Come On Ilene". But again, I like many, many from the 80's!!

Sorry I havn't had time to post. We only have two weeks. The closer we get the more things happen. I'm afraid I am not going to make it to the magic. First Jade got an ear infection then a bacterial infection now I thyink she's getting better. Let's hope she doesn't get anything else. Then, Savannah now has bumps all over her face, and a swollen lip. Looks a little like chicken pox. Lets pray its nothing bad or contagious.

I'm getting a little worried now!

Usually, chicken pox start on the torso. Have you checked her torso? Taken her to the doctor?

If anything can go wrong, it will go wrong and usually before a trip! and prayers for you!

One more thing, I don't think I have a favorite 80's song considering I wasn't born till' 84'. But I will still go to 80's night with everyone. I'm sure I'll know a few of the songs. Leave me out for the dancing part though. I'll sit back and watch everyone else.
