I would not recommend making this...like Trent said, it took two of us manning pans on the stove-top! I'm not a big fan of Palo or the souffle, so I was hoping that Trent would get his fill if we made it at home...no such luck! I guess we'll be visiting Palo, despite that fact that it's to froo-froo for me!

You could always just slip into the bar some evening and have a drink and order the treat. The bar is open to all guests when Palo is open.

Tracy and Trent, I've got a great idea! Let's post this pic over on the food pic thread...tell them this is the Palo Souffle everyone raves about...:rotfl2: Then, we'll sit back and wait for the reaction! popcorn:: :scared1:

Deweysgirl, you're evil! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I admire you for trying to make it Trent and Tracy. I know it had to be a lot of hard work and I hope that 5% was heavenly. :)

Great tip about the bar, crainbow! :thumbsup2

WOW! I didn't know this either. Can you order any dessert from the bar? I want to try the sweet pizza!

Nice try Tracy and Trent! You get a Dis green thumbs up!:thumbsup2

The souffles at Palo are airy too. That's what makes a souffle a souffle.

Jan, have a safe trip! Hope all goes well!

Is there any way you can get a takeout souffle from Palos? My 9 year old nephew loves to cook and watch cooking shows and he would be absolutely thrilled if we could get him a chocolate souffle.

I baked brownies this weekend, they came out delish. Thank you Betty Crocker!

Wagnut - you have to check daily to keep up, when everyone's on a roll they're/we're on a roll!!

I started a cruise bag too! I bought us Disney vacation logo type outfits for a casual night dinner for cute photo op (matching dresses for me and dd, similar shirt for dh - on sale, couldn't resist). I also got some towels and swimsuit cover ups but I'll be using those throughout the summer. :cheer2:

I had the weirdest dream last night about the cruise and getting to the terminal. Anyone been to Disneyland? Well, those trams they use to get you from your parking area to the front gate is the trams they used to get us from the airport to the cruise terminal. Talk about a wind-blown experience. :sad2: We got there in the middle of the night, too. The entire front of the cruise terminal looked like multiple hotels attached together and there was no indication where to go. It was so confusing. This is the 2nd dream I've had about the cruise. Means we're getting close, people!! :yay:

I know what you mean about dreams! I had one not to long ago..we got to the ship and we had left our tickets at home!!! I am going to be checking and rechecking to make sure they don't get left behind!

I am slowly getting stuff gathered for the cruise. I have started a mental list of what we are going to wear on what night, etc.

Hope everyone has a great week!

OMG! Me too!! :yay: I keep changing my mind though of what to wear for the formal night.. I've got everyone else figured out, but I keep changing my dress.. maybe I NEED a new one :thumbsup2

For those of you with younger DD's how many princess dresses are you bringing? I told my DD she could bring 2.

Happy Monday everyone!

Hi Pauline! My DD's are not into the princess dresses (too old I guess) but they love dressing up for pirate night! We have accumulated some really cute pirate wear and they have the ruffley blouses and fancy gouchos with sashes and ribbons and beads galore. I love looking at all the little girls dressed in their princess outfits, they are just so adorable! She'll need one for formal night and semi-formal night and maybe all nights in-between! haha! :dance3:

Between them, my two girls have costumes for Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Pocahontas, Tink and Ariel. Are they spoiled or what!:confused3 They each already have a beautiful dress to wear for formal night from a family event and a pirate costume. I'm still trying to decide which princess dresses to bring, but I cant ask DD's their preference since they are being surprised with this trip. I guess I'll just have to pick for them - and resign myself that I'm sure to pick the wrong ones! We also will be going to MNSSHP, so I might just bring them all if there is room in the suitcase and just let them decide once we're there. :wizard:

Oh my goodness, that is a lot of princess dresses to drag with you!! DD has a very pretty dress she got for Easter that I had hoped she'd wear for formal night on the cruise. But now I'm afraid she won't want to when she sees everyone in their princess dresses. But I'll probably bring it and bribe her to wear it. She can be bribed, maybe a Mickey Bar?? :mickeybar

princess: Given the choice.. I'm sure she would wear her princess dresses EVERY night! BUT, I'm only going to allow 2.. ok maybe 3 and I'm going to bring one of flower girl dresses to wear for formal night, which I hope she'll wear.
I'll have her "pack" her minnie mouse suitcase with her princess outfits along with her other 3 yr old "essentials" like a couple of books, toys, portable dvd player, DS & games and some snacks. :thumbsup2

Do they have a dvd player in the room? If they do, then, no need to bring hers.

I just finished filling out the online forms. Do we print them out and bring them with us? I didn't even read through it.

Nighty night.

Ok... I've been reading the "Eastern vs Western" thread and some were saying that they didn't like the early morning immigration call?????? at St. Thomas? What is that about and how early is that?

Other than that.. Eastern seems to be winning uuumm I mean preferred :thumbsup2

I think everyone needs to go thru immigration b/c St. Maarten is a US territory and so we're re-entering US land after St. Thomas so we all need to go thru customs. I don't know the exact time, but I know it's some ridiculous hour - like everyone needs to be done by 7am or some nonsense. :scared1:

:scared: yikes...I thought this was a vacation...lol :beach:

Any idea when they assign room # for GTY cabins?..TIA :goodvibes

:confused3 Hi,
Sorry but St Maarten's is Dutch and French, St. Thomas is US thus we must do customs the morning we arrive at ST Thomas not ST. Maarten...
Just a helpful tip.
