GO SPURS !!! :cool1: I will actually be in San Antonio this weekend and we are thinking about staying for the parade where all the players, coaches, etc float down the river on barges. My son is really excited to see all of the players however I am not sure about 300,000 people cramped into a fairly small area?? Sounds much worse then the MK on Christmas Day !

MK on Christmas day is bad? We've started talking about going to the World for Christmas 2009. DD and I have never been but DH and DS have and they'd love to go back.

REALLY bad ! My friend said "never again" ! She called me from the MK and told me she couldn't walk. Not the way I'd want to spend Christmas........I would probably go to WDW (if I could), but just hang out at the resort. I would not venture into the parks.

Just an update..... 12 weeks today and NO PASSPORT!!!!...the mail lady just left......and with her my hopes and dreams:guilty: ...ok so that's a little dramatic...but woo whoo...it's Friday:banana:

You are better off going either in November or early December. They start putting up the decorations I believe the first of November. One big thing we like to do is go monerail resort hopping and looking at the custom made gingerbread houses for each resort.

Hope all of you fellow September 29 cruisers have a terrific weekend!!

jajomo... You'll get the Passport... Plenty of time left! Don't wish my summer away!!! ;)

Stay away from the WDW parks Christmas AND New Years week... Yikes... Worse than the summertime!

The WDW thing is very depressing but glad to know it. This kind of stinks, too, because it was a great idea in my head! :lmao:

Jajo - you'll get your passports. You're probably just behind some things because you're not sailing until September. I assume you indicated when your travel time was?

It's been a REALLY long week and the weekend may be even longer. Having a BBQ this Sunday for Father's Day and so I have to blitz our downstairs and cook, cook, cook! :headache:

Hello everyone!

Just wanted to wish all of our awesome dads a

Happy Father's Day!:cool1:

Also, just found out our friends Doug and Carol (pahrumpgirl) WILL be joining us on the cruise!

We're all spending a few days at WDW before the cruise.

Enjoy your weekend!

Hey guys! :wave2: I haven't had a lot of time to check the boards lately, but did book our Palo the other day, so it got me thinking cruise again. I thought I'd check and see what type of meets are shaping up. :) It's going to be here before we know it!!! :yay: So much shopping and planning left to do.

They start putting up the decorations I believe the first of November.

They do start putting the holiday decorations up in early Nov, but no lights or music are turned on and active until Thanksgiving weekend.....then they remain on through the first week of January. The Osbourne Lights aren't lit until Thanksgiving week. Any week besides Christmas through New Years is a nice time to go unless you don't mind massisve crowds. Hope this helps.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Father's Day !

Lucky you! OK, so honestly, if you check back today would you say there's still a lot of Palo availability? I'm not sure I really need to do the 3am thing, although I'll probably be obsessing about it so much I may be up at that time anyway not able to wait until I wake up and/or get into work no less!

Ahhhh.... The countdown to the 90 days milestone continues...

When are YOU guys planning on Palo as of this time?

Looking at brunch on Sunday. Need to look at the menu's for the dinner but most likely Thursday (unless that is lobster night).

Chuck

We are looking at doing it thursday night (that is lobster night). Hope it is not too booked then. I do want to do the tea as well. One question the 90 day mark is July 1st do we try to make reservations at 12 am that day or is it 3 am.

Been thinking we'll do Palo brunch Monday-I think that's a sea day. I don't want to plan it too early so we have time to get DD settled with the club and DS hooked up with friends. And then I think I'll wait to book Palo dinner when we're on the ship and know our dining rotation. Does that sound stupid?:confused3 I'm kind of worried about booking dinner because I'm worried we're going to miss something cool, fun, etc., with normal dinner. :confused3

As for Brunch, I am thinking about Monday... I'm debating Palo dinner during one of the rotation nights... Been on 2 DCL voyages before and have done those dinners... Like certain ones, dont like others... Might wait till on board...

If you go in late November or early December the decorations are up, the holiday parades are going and the holiday music is playing. It is like getting an early Christmas. Well worth doing. Just avoid Christmas weekend.
