September 29, 2007 - Magic

I sure wish I was home so I could see all these pics everyone's talking about, it's blocked here at work! I'm sure it looks great . . . :confused3

Hi everyone. Great suggestions so far. Here is the Peter Pan and Tink logo I came up with. I wrote "The Smith Family" as a place holder. I can personalize it however you like or not at all.

Also, I was asked about doing a Mickey version as well that could be used for whatever you like.

Any suggestions or changes? Keep the opinions flowing. :dance3:

I love them...Thanks so much..I plan to make T-shirts with both designs !! :cool1: I also just got back from dollar tree and they had cute pirate party favor bags so I got them for the kids goody bags I plan to make. I can't believe we are into double digits.

pirate: Hi All/Vpalmer,
The above pictures are great I think the one with tink added is best..
As you were modifying your designs I was working on this one as I have grand-children going on this trip also.

The picture is from a LITO I got on the Wonder over the Mothers day weekend, thus Capt. John's signature at the top right. We/you will probably be able to purchase it on the Magic as it was one of those "spend $50.00 and buy a lito" thing. I just borrowed the picture, as the Title below the picture is "Pirates of the Caribbean
Disney Cruise Line" The picture is all that was needed not the why for's or how comes..

WOW!! These are absolutely wonderful! I would love to have a tote bag with the pic for the cruise. Pardon my ignorance...How does this work? Do you print them on an iron-on transfer or what???:confused3

Thanks for putting these together guys, they are so nice, it's going to be hard to make a decision. Can I have 1 of each design? :cool1:

VLPALMER - :thanks: I like the addition of Tink - we all need a little Tink in our lives! :tink: I added the little pic you made to my siggy. I hope it shows up!

I like the idea of using them as door signs and then some of us, if we want, can use them on our shirts! DH has been personalizing embarkation shirts for us but I'm thinking we can use these that you made on our backs!! :yay:

:offtopic: Now that we're in the double-digits, I'm getting nervous. :ssst: All these "what if" questions keep going through my head and I know they're silly but I personally love to play the "what if" game. :chat: (It's usually with myself, though!) Anyone else starting to get nervous?? I've just done so much planning, reading, preparing, sorting, organizing, researching, developing that maybe I have gone too far??? I've been trying to take a break from the boards, :disrocks: but I love the DCL Picture thread, I continue to save pics as my background. I'm just ready for this vacation and am hoping and praying it's the magical experience everyone writes TR's about!

Anyone else starting to get nervous??

::yes:: I know exactly what you mean JD! I am getting nervous but I am trying to have a "go-with-the-flow" outlook for this cruise. My OCD and overplanning tendencies want to take over, but I refuse to give in to the little voices in my head! :hyper2: Ha-Ha!

That's been my main attitude, go with the flow. But when 3 people are following along behind you, it's not so easy to do that. I plan to "go with the flow" once we're on board. I scheduled the day off before we fly out so I can devote an entire day to packing:laundy: while the kids are at day care/school, i.e., not in my way!

Okay, so, did everyone figure out when they're doing Palo?!? :hippie:

Hi everyone! The only "what if" I'm worried about is someone getting sick right before we leave. Oh, then there is the "what if we miss the ship?" worry especially since we are flying in on Saturday. Still haven't booked air or decided to just keep Disney air.:confused3 Have to decide real soon...Hmm, maybe it is time to start getting nervous. Thanks a lot people...:rotfl:

Tell me about it! :lmao:

I'm thinking Sunday night for us, we have gotten PLA the last 2 cruises so I'm hoping that will be the case this time too. We don't care much for the formal night menu, so it will be a good night for us to skip that and go to Palo.

How about you? What night are you thinking of? And are you planning to do the Palo brunch? We haven't tried that yet, so I am hoping to do that too. Last cruise we were wait-listed, but we never got in.

What is the menu on Formal Night that you don't care for? I was kind of thinking doing Palo on Formal Night only because I don't think DD and DS will want to get fancy, fancy! I do want to do brunch, however! If we do one - I want to do brunch. I don't know why though.

Well, out of the 5 selections for main entree, they offer:

Scallops - don't care for...
Halibut - not crazy about...
Lamb - never!
Duck - never!

or Beef Tenderloin

The beef would be my choice so might as well have the DELICIOUS Fillet Mignon in Palo! :goodvibes and the chocolate souffle' for dessert (to die for!).

I really want to try the brunch too. I've just heard so many great comments about how good it is, so I would sure like to give it a try.

 Hello Fellow Cruise people!!!!

My name is Mike and I am Shannon's DB, I am proud (and Very excited) to say that I will be for the first time attending this cruise. Ive Never even been on a cuise so I am very excited to go. I'm sure ragdoll is looking forward to it,(future mother in law) and it will show at her pajama party extravaganza, which, i know alot of you havent reserved your spot, so let me know if you want to attend. But Shannon has told me alot about all of you going on the cruise and I'm looking forward to meeting Everybody. I'll see you all on deck!!!

-Thanx, Mike

Um, scallops - YUM and halibut - YUM so we're definitely not skipping Formal night menu. Has anyone on the board ever been to the brunch? I'd like to hear from someone that went b/c to me it just kinda seems like regular food that's all over the ship except people on the DIS go nuts over the brunch so I figure I'm probably missing something??

Thanks for posting your intro Mike, I think several of us will attend pajama bingo!

That is the 'formal night' menu at Lumiere's... If you happen to have a different dining rotation, you will have the menu for that particular restuarant... My first cruise, I had PLA, last year, I had APL... So it's all a function of whree you are eating that second night...

Ah, the Brunch. The DW and I did this on the cruise last year. Ate for about 2 hours straight. It is now a must do.

To follow up my earlier answer with some more details now that I am not on company time...

When you arrive they lead you through the food line showing you what you are going to be eating and the main courses that are being offered that day.

You start off with the appetizers. Lots of options here, don't eat too much. Also the breads, which I did not find all that different from the dining room. Then comes the breakfast foods. Just about anything egg goes. Then the pizza course, there were three or four kinds offered all baked fresh. I would recommend that you make this stop, your stomach will love you for it, split a small one with your SO. Then then you get off into the lunch portion. There was a fish course and a meat course. And you finish up with dessert. Lots of little items here also. You get a glass of sparkling wine with the cost of the meal and have a chance to buy more wine.

We did the pizza Margareta (sp?) which was better than great. Also we did not do all the courses. There is no way my heart would have lived through all that food. I ordered a fish and DW ordered a meat course. If I remember correctly, we shared off each others plates. There was a great deal of Chocolate on the dessert tray. By this time we were both feeling too full and just had a single small treat so we would not hurt the feeling of the dessert staff. We had an 11a seating and departed about 1p. We were both glad that we had late seating for dinner and did not eat that much at dinner.

This was in SEP 06, our last cruise.
