My thoughts exactly! I seem to always overpack even for an overnight trip :upsidedow

P princess: - for my Princess Sarah because this trip is for her (well mostly for her).

Q...DH's Quinine prescription for the severe cramps he gets in his legs.

Someone asked where Shannon was. Her computer is down. It is killing her to not be able to get on the DIS!:surfweb: :rotfl:

Our post has less postings than the September 22nd cruise meet thread. People! We gotta start talking!!

I have a game for us to play!! Okay, so like a game you play with your kids but this one is for real. Answer this:

I'm going on the cruise and I won't forget to bring _________________.

My answer, and I will start with A like the game, Antacid!

So, next answers with a B word and so on and so on!

Rum

:lmao:

Who's got W?

(sorry for arriving late to the game. Been busy, busy, busy earning vacation hours at the store.)

:welcome: all new cruisers. Can't wait to meet yas

W = wine, so you don't pay 2-3x the amount onboard!

Anyone care to try for 'x' . . . .

Xanax, for when the little ones get on our nerves! This will be my first trip with grandkids.:scared1: Just joking, it will be a blast...I think...:thumbsup2

How old are they? My dd will be 18 months and so far everyone's kids on this thread are at least 3. I'm sure there will be other toddlers on the cruise she can play with (she's an EXTREMELY social animal) but I just want to be sure! And it'd be nice if it was a fellow DISer! :thumbsup2

Ibela: we will be bringing wine as well for those quiet nights on the veranda with my DH while my DD3 is knocked out asleep on her bed. :goodvibes
Will you pack it into your suitcase or on your carry on? I was planning to just buy wine when we get to Florida and hand carry it on (discreetly).. or I can pack it in my checked luggage from Cali. Haven't decided yet. :confused3

:surfweb: Hi,
Buy it when you get to Florida, no sense worrying about it breaking in your suitcases, I use a soft sided cooler on wheels and I had 2 bottles of wine
2 bottles of Spamanti and a magnum of wine. Plus a case of water 12oz. bottles and a small case of 12oz. Pepsi, no problem getting it on. As soon as we got in the room the cabin guy filled it up with ice.
Remember no ice is to be carried on (germs??) as it messes up the xray machine...
gg

I'll take Y

Youngster - 2 of them. DD and DS!

Anyone going to take a shot at Z?

Here is the list so far so print it and don't forget to pack everything!! :lmao:
antacid, bonine, contacts, dollars, ears, fanny pack, grumpy-gramps/grandma/gum, hat, Ibela, jacket, kid, lip balm, money, nerves, overpacked suitcase/other people's money, princess, quinio, rum, sunscreen, tylenol, uncle/undies, visa, wine, xanax.

When you put it all together, it sounds funny!!! :rolleyes1

Anyone else doing this. This past week, at work, they gave us little goodie bags and inside was a "mini" Uno deck of cards. My immediate thought, "Oh cool! We can play with that on the plane to Florida!" Came home and threw it in the bag of Disney things I've been collecting for the kiddies. Last summer, I started hitting the dollar spot at Target and I buy the Disney goodies I think my kids will like. I want to put together back-packs of stuff for them to get them in the mood on the flight. (Not that DD will need much encouraging. She wakes me up every Saturday morning asking, "Mommy? Do you want to go on the Mickey Mouse boat with me?") Even DH ordered his Pirate shirt, which was totally unexpected. All but one of us have Pirate shirts now and they're sitting on a chair, waiting for the blessed event. Anyone else have piles of "designated DCL stuff" started? With the weather warming up, I have to start buying the kids summer clothes thinking to size them big enough to wear on the cruise. Good times!! :cloud9:

Granddaughters will be three and five. Wish I had just a fraction of their energy!:hyper2: They are the light of DH's and my lives. They do wear us out though!:faint:

GG: I will take your advice and just buy wine when we get to florida :)

JDBlair: As far as putting together for our DCL cruise, I've just been shopping lots for clothes, not that we need any more.. but it's an excuse :thumbsup2
All that my DD3 needs is her portable dvd player, her gameboy, lots of colorwonder stuff, and some books. it may seem a lot, but not really, she gets to carry it all in her minnie mouse carryon luggage princess:
