September 29, 2007 - Magic

My DH actually starts counting the days before I do. He cannot wait to get on that beautiful ship! I'll bet your hubbies just don't want to admit how excited they are.

:wave2: Hi again Rags,
I'm the hubbie and you know that I'm taking DD in May on the Wonder to get her sea legs (good excuse, for sure I can't wait). DW(Barb) wants to wait for 9/29/07 as the three oldest grand children will be coming with us.

:wizard: Of the Master List, (JayS)
Please to add to grumpy-gramps's line the following: DGS Alex-12, DGS Nathan-11 (Nate), DGD Krysta-10 and DB Frank-old.
I still might have 1 or 2 more before we sail..
thank you
gg

Mike is so exited about the cruise we talk about it everyday. He even is looking to find Aladin costumes for his boys, since my girls have Jasmine costumes! Amazing!:lmao: I'm sure the men will come around eventually. I hope.:confused3

My Dh is excited for the cruise. Yet, he wants NOTHING to do with the planning. Didn't care where about eastern or western, excursions, anything. He just wants to show up. So all i have to say is he very well better like what i plan for us cause if he doesn't he's up a creek:rolleyes1 Although i got s surprise yesterday when he showed me Brad Paisley will be in town the day after our cruise. I said we'll be too broke to go. He says we won't even be home. So when I'm getting home is anybody's guess LOL.

I called my DH at work this afternoon and said "Can you go to the book store after work and get me THE DISNEY PASSPORTER" his reply was "Is it scary?" and i said "WHAT?" DH then replied "Yeah is sound's like one of those action novels you read, i thought it was about bad stuff that happened on the ship".......lol...gotta love him.....:rotfl2:  :rotfl2::lmao:

OMG Now i have Eve Dallas of the IN Death novels running around the ship in my head trying to solve a murder:lmao: That is just wild your Dh thought it was an action novel. I was trying to think of a good teaser for that but nothing comes to mind.

BTW: Did he get it? Its hard to get it at my local bookstore. They sell it but it often sells out within a couple of days. Besides, I found the Passporter site is usually cheaper even with shipping. I bought the deluxe version, and I just love it.

Okay!! Since the two of you have brought up the Passporter - what is it? Should I have one??? :confused3 If it's one of those things I should have, then I should get it. BUt - what is it? :surfweb:

I absolutely love those books!! Nora Roberts is my favorite author. In fact I was just trying to figure out if I would be bored by myself since DS will probably be in the clubs most of the time and I figured I could bring several of her books and just spend my time reading and relaxing.

:rotfl: Hi,
Last year (09/09/06) was our first cruise I brought 2 books, I read three pages one night (I think the 1st) never had a chance to look at the books the rest of the week. You Might be luckier..

I remember on our first cruise taking my book down to the lounge chairs poolside........and waking up with my book closed, book mark in the wrong place. :rotfl2: How long was I out? :confused3 Dunno...didn't care... :thumbsup2 Did that at least twice.

ha ha..that's funny but now I am not worried about it! My DSis decided to go with me and this date is the one that worked for her so we are going to be with you all!! i can't wait :cool1:

Long answer short is the DCL Passporter is the ULTIMATE DCL guide. Beats everything else in spades. I have the deluxe binder version where i can rearrange pages to suit me. Has packing lists, and info galore. Frankly I'm bringing mine on the ship with me its that good. If you want more info just pm me.

Isn't she just 1 of the best authors? I don't know what I'd do if she stopped writing Eve. I have to admit however that this cruise has me reprioritizing my mad money spending and Innocence In Death will be a paperback purchase for me. And Eve will be joining me on the cruise. DH and i are big readers. Of course, if I don't touch the book on the ship then I must be having a fabulous time:wizard:

:welcome:

Officially to our not so little group. Glad your Dsis decided to tag along.

Yes she is!! Well I haven't got it yet but I probably will be getting it. If I get it and read it before it comes back on paperback I will be more than glad to send it to you if you would like. I will let you know!

party: I will definitely attend a DIS meet!! My poor family has been warned. My son will be 13 when we sail and I'm so happy to see there will be boys there close to his age. When we booked, I was most worried he'd feel out of place being older than his 3 year old sister - who has done nothing but talk about going on the "Mickey Mouse boat". :woohoo:

I am still reading through all the threads so I haven't got all the info yet. Is there a DIS meet planned? Is anyone going down on Friday and going to MNSSHP? We are planning on going and staying at SSR.

Ok...So I feel like I am taking over this thread. Sorry but I am soo excited :cool1: and having never cruised before I have A LOT of questions. Has anyone ever done the Sunny Liston tour? I read about it on here and then I checked out the website. Sounds pretty cool and the price is good too.

Hi Zane_Anthony and welcome! There will be a DIS meet but noone has really planned one yet. I can't help you with the Sunny Liston tour. I never heard of it. What island is it on and what is it? I am curious too.:confused3

We will be at BC for the week preceeding the cruise. We haven't decided if we are doing MNSSHP or not...Part of me wants to do it, part of me wants to avoid the big crowd it will draw.

Thanks! It sounds really good and there are a lot of reviews on cruise critic if you want to check them out. Just search for Sunny Liston tours and you can find his website. It's in St.Thomas. If there are a lot of us that want to try it maybe we can all be on the same truck.

Also...I don't know what everyone is planning on doing for transportation to the port but I am trying to figure mine out. Would anyone be interested in sharing a limo or if there are several of us a stretch hummer? I have read of several groups doing this and saving a lot of money. If anyone is interested let me know and I will be willing to set it all up.

Have you done it b4 Jay?

Dh and I did it during our honeymoon and honestly it was nothing crowdwise. I think the biggest crowds it draws are Halloween and the days closest to it. The biggest line we waited in at the party was to get our complimentary pic taken. It was fabulous. I would easily do it again except for the days closest to Halloween. So much fun, we did all the best rides then save for Thunder Mountain(Closed at the time for repairs) and didn't wait more than 2 minutes for anything except Splash Mountain but thats only because it took more than 5 minutes to walk around all the lines and up the stairs LOL.

I say go for it.

NOW somebody offers a Limo ride. I knew i loved these boards LOL.

Unfortunately I'll need to decline as we are driving to FL from home. We're staying at Country Inn&Suites with cruise parking on Friday night. So our transpo is already planned. But if we were staying in the parks or somewhere close we'd take you up on it. I'd love to do a Limo to the port. Next time maybe.
