September 28, 2016, DVC Member Cruise on the Magic!

I don't know what to do. of course if I wait too long, the decision will be made for us as I suspect this will sell out.
I only saw it posted today. Half price is good! Fun show. I just went a few months ago, plus saw the "Big Number" last year at a Disney on Broadway show.
Hope Someone from the show will be on our cruise Broadway night. Or the original Belle,Susan Egan, who was just featured in an ad by DCL on social media.

That special Alladin program sounds wonderful! We have to pass, as Patricia is flying out of Philadelphia on debarkation day.

Time as come to begin collecting information for the candy exchange! Please send your cabin, any allergies and any specific thing about your participation. For instance, Patricia and I are in the same room, but we will participate separately.

Thanks for all the information about Haifax.

Thought I would share in case anyone else sees this on their Member Cruise reservation page on the DCL site. I checked my reservation info about a month ago, all looked fine. I checked again last Friday, to confirm the date we can start our on-line check=in. I now have something saying payment due by July 30 and a link for me to make a payment. There's also a note on the Activities link that Activities can be booked after cruise is paid in full; this was not there previously.

I called DCL - they told me it shows a balance due but could not give me any info as to why or how much because the cruise was booked thru DVC. I called DVC member services, who told me that there is no balance due and then something about all payments not yet transferred over from DVC to DCL? That does not make sense. I tried to explain that it didn't show a balance due previously, but I couldn't get the DVC rep to follow that thought line. She said not to worry, it would be cleared up before we sailed. I expressed concern about not being able to book dining or activities with a balance due showing; she was not able to give me a date of when this might be cleared up. It still shows as needing a payment today. I plan to check every couple of days, & call back again if this is not cleared up soon.

Thanks for telling us what you saw, I have it too. My guess (hope) is that by May 31, when Platinum can check in, things will be straightened out!

Happy Memorial Day weekend!

We are celebrating in Cape May and our Houston Wozniaks are here! We have 2 Grandsons (4 & 2 1/2) visiting. They are enjoying the Atlantic Ocean....a change in look from the Gulf!

Have a great weekend! We'll be back and forth to the Jersey Shore too.

Just got in last night from a mini trip to WDW. Weather was surprisingly hot. We really resort hopped this trip. Enjoyed an excellent Sun brunch at the California Grill.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Took a walk to the pier to check out the ships in for fleet week. Stood and stared at Pier 90 trying to imagine the Magic there in 4 months.

Today, Thursday, I've heard Garden State Parkway's traffic is terrible. DSis who lives up in Toms River may forget about tonight, and get up for an early start tomorrow.

Is a Sun Brunch something new?

Did you go to the classic Soarin for a last time?

Now that's something I would love to do. So jealous.
4 months!?!? this cruise is really sneaking up on me.

Traffic was insane in S. Jersey today. We are hitting the road at 6am tomorrow instead. I think everybody is ready for a long weekend.

No Soarin was closed when we happened by during Tues night EMH. It looked closed for refurb. I wonder if that's true or not.

and yes sunday brunch is entering it's 3rd month at the California Grill
"brunch at the top" debuted Feb 7. https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/b...debuts-february-7th-2016-at-california-grill/

we used 2 TS credits ea on the meal plan and it was worth every penny. Similar to Palo, they set up a buffet with made to order entrée combination.
You could order as many entrees as you wish. I was even allowed to take home what I could not finish.

I'll have to post pics. It was excellent!!!

Looking forward to seeing pictures of the brunch. Will consider it.

DSis decided to come down, they waited until 8, so they're on their way. They decided to wake up where they want to be.

Safe travels to all tomorrow!

Nice! This prompted me to check out the New York/Manhattan cruise terminal schedule. When we board, we will be the only ship in port that day. Hopefully that means opportunity for some great photos from the pier before we leave.

There will be two other ships in port along with the Magic when we return.

If anyone is interested in the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical CATS, which ran on Broadway several years ago, the first-ever Broadway revival of the musical is opening this summer July 14 at the Neil Simon Theatre. It's a great show - I've seen it several times. Here's a link to the site with links to ticket information.

Sorry for the delay Bobbi - I can't seem to find your post on this? we're cabin 7567 - 2 adults / no allergies / participating together as 1.
Thank you!

Who else needs to give me your information?!

There is still plenty of time to sign up!!!!

The DCL website does not mention which is pirate night. I booked Palo dinner for Patricia and I for Day 2, I hope that's right. We both are happy to miss the Pirate night regular menu.

I'll be checking that link, poison ivy! It seems that it really is a good meal!

Was today check-in for Platinum? wow are we getting close! No pirate night wouldn't bother me on this cruise. You may see us at Palo as well.

I did not check day 4 availability, but they are offering brunch on day 2 as well as dinner. I do not want to "miss out" on any daytime activities, so I'm going with dinner. At 6:30 start, we've always made it to fireworks time.

I would be happy to share a table if anyone here wants to.

Still taking sign ups and asking for info for the Candy Exchange!

Are they offering brunch only on the 1 at sea day? These short cruises are so tight with timing. I think we were spoiled last year on that 7 day Alaskan member cruise.
