September 22nd 4 day wonder

Yes, we had a fabulous time!

We did see the Baha Men! The kids were right up front too.

Our table mates were friends we traveled with so they were fabulous.

We ran into Scottie and family at Kelsey's the night before the cruise but didn't see them again after that.

Were back from from our stay in WDW! Everything was TOP NOTCH on the cruise and WDW and we loved the whole cruise expirence with DCL. We are looking into booking a cruise for next October already!! I cant say enough good things and truly enjoyed sailing with DCL even more then staying at WDW (and that is VERY hard for me to say!!)

DH said already that we will book our first 7 day cruise for next year in October, but he wants to take another 4 day soon.We will wait till hurricane season is over first though before doing it.We had a good time.I agree the cruise itself is a lot more better then the parks. This is coming also form a park fanatic. It was so much fun!!!!We loved it!

We are going to definitely book a 7 day for next September. We are just doing the debate between the Eastern and the Western Itinerary. I wish we had done it onboard to get the Castaway Club onboard credit but we weren't firm enough on our decision to do it at the time. I have this thing about needing to see the rest of the world before we start repeating vacations. We do get to do the Disney/Universal thing at least once a year if not more because we are Fl Residents and can do that on long weekends. In the last two years we have done Niagra falls and Washington DC and next year was slated for Alaska or Grand Canyon. We have decided that those places can wait another year and we will probably enjoy them more when the kids are slightly older anyway. Besides, if we do East or West, we are seeing the world, new ports of call, etc.

We had such a great time! It was alot of fun having our friends along to eat dinner with and check out the clubs at night too. I would do it with friends again.

Having a veranda was really great too! We'll never cruise without one again.

Did anybody meet any DISers onboard? Other than our very brief meeting with Scottie's family we don't know if we ever saw the rest of you. I wonder if Billy ever saw Megan or Ben in the clubs.

Jeleann.....where are you??

We have decided that we will do the eastern islands at this time next year.I have been in St Thomas before, and it was beautiful at least it was 18 years ago.We will do the eastern one next year in October or November. We will be taking a couple 4 day ones till then though as we just loved it.
I wore the ribbon when we first got on,but the next day I didn't have it on any more.I didn't get to meet any though I wish I had.

We didn’t get the opportunity to meet up with anyone else either. Meghan did spend a good deal of time in the Oceaneers Club so I am guessing she ran into Billy at some point, though she said she cant remember because she met so many kids while in the club. I would say her enjoyment in the Oceaneers Club is enough to get us back with DCL...we also felt very secure letting her stay there for several hours.
Once I convince my wife what a good idea it will be to put the 800 down to reserve our next cruise I will be all set!!;) We will do another 4 night cruise in Sept or October if I get my way in the family stateroom again!

Hi everyone, I'm back a day early thanks to Hurricane Lili. Of course the hurricane wasn't affecting the weather in Reno, but since I left my car at the New Orleans airport when I flew out, I was really concerned for it. We live about 3 1/2 hours from where the hurricane is hitting and it just now starting to rain. I can't believe I've spent the last 3 weeks of my life on vacation watching the weather channel about what's going on at home.

I wish I had gotten to meet more of you. I did run into MrsQ and her husband while eating lunch at Castaway Cay and then again at the Castaway Club reception.

I was really afraid that the distant weather would be stirring up the floor at Castaway Cay like it had last year but it was great! wasn't it?! So clear! And all the beautiful starfish lined up as far as you could see. I hope something bad happens to that creep who pulled the starfish out of the water. Surely he had sense enough to know that he was killing it. Stupidity at it's finest I suppose.

Sonya, it took us 3 cruises before we felt comfortable KNOWING that's what we were going to do and booking while still on board. So next Oct 18th, DH, DMom and I will be doing the 7 day eastern cruise. We chose eastern because it had 1 more day at sea which is what we'd like more of (less ports, more cruising). And since DCL will let you pay your installments however you want to (as long as it's paid in full 60 days prior to sailing), this will be a great vacation that we're going to pay cash for and save our DVC points for a trip to DL and an Alaskan Cruise.

I've got 1 question for everyone.
1st timers: What did you think of the stage shows?
Repeaters: Were you upset that they had removed the Ghost Ship?

Have a great day. Be seeing you on the boards,
Cheryl

As a first timer...we enjoyed the shows! Hercules was very funny and the Juggler guy (forget his name) actually had us in tears!! The final show Disney Dreams was just wonderful (could have watched it over and over again) We did not go to the comedian show the second night. Also the show they had during the day time was very cute with captin hook
We loved the cruise sooooo much that we are going on a 7 night either fall of 03' or 04'

I agree Scottie, we also loved the shows. And, we also skipped the comedian but LOVED the juggler...he was sooo funny. We liked Disney Dreams but we don't seem to love it like most folks do. A friend who traveled with us with DSs 5 & 9 said that she thought the show was a little too "girly" for her boys. Billy loved it though and Amanda skipped it (having seen it 2 years ago) in favor of one last night in the club.

Well, we booked today, the 9/13/03 Western! How exciting! We're hoping to travel with the same friends again but they haven't booked yet. I figure we pay off the deposit and then start putting a little bit down each month on the balance.

Scottie, we surprised you at Kelsey's didn't we? I recognized you by the profile of your family and thought it was too much of a coincidence not to be you. Weird that we didn't see each other again though. I figured we'd run into each other alot.

I wonder what happened to Jeleann....she sure was posting alot before the trip but we haven't heard from her since. Hope she had a good time.
