DH and i will be taking our first cruise ever on The Dream, September 22!!

Do tell about the FE exchange, as i think i might like to participate. If im allowed.

It will be myself, DH, and DS9. It's our first cruise and I think I want to sign up for the fish extender group. What kinds of things do you exchange? I found instructions on "no-sew FE" so I'm going to try to make one for us. I can't wait until September!

We've done the FE thing twice. The first time (a 7 nighter), we made scrapbooked keychains for everyone which turned out super super cute (but were a LOT of work). The second time (a 3/4 nighter) we gave bubbles. People really exchange pretty much about anything. We've gotten candy, pirate attire, puzzles, games, cards, etc., scrapbooks, state-specific items, pins, and probably a hundred other things.

Whew! I was starting to worry that the exchange was only for crafty people. I am so not crafty and will be doing good to get off work for this trip without trying to figure out how to make things too!

I'm thoroughly excited for the Member's Cruise!!!! The last cruise I went on was a December to the Bahama's, but due to weather, we never made it to castaway cay. I had to sit there at 6 am watching us edge closer and then pull away. This time, no chances will be taken with a double dip at the cay. woo hoo!!!

Just wondering if the Fish Extender is still on for this cruise? I just got my list for the DVC cruise and was curious. Can't wait to meet everyone in September!

yeah it is i have the list going i have been a little busy my husband and i are trying to get a house so we have been out looking alot.
So far there are around 10 of us there were more that said that they wanted to do it but when i pm'd them about it they never sent me anything back. If they send me their info before the cruise i will add them.
I didnt know if i asked yall when do yall want the cut off date for the joining the FE gift exchange? on our last one we did the final payment date so middle of july?

Happy Monday everyone - another week closer to our cruise.

Today was our ADR day for our park stay portion, and I was able to secure the couple of ADRs that we wanted without any major hassle. 2011 will mark the first time that we are going off the dining plan and are instead relying on the TIW card, so hopefully we find some sort of cost savings. We'll see.

Well I am sad to say that we are jumping ship!!! DH started a new job (he has be unemployed since Sept) and they will allow him to go on our B2B in May but he didn't want to ask for more time off. So much for our 2nd anniversary cruise!!

I just know that you guys will have a WONDERFUL time!!!

How is everyone doing? Well I have started on y'all home made FE Gift from me I can't wait to leave them in you FE's
Oh we got our ADR's back from the IPO's at AKL and i am vary happy to say WE GOT ALL THE ONES WE WANTED!! even le cellier and CRT(on our Anniversary )
And the Sunrise Safari I believe i am gonna have to off load pictures on this trip before we get on the cruise (i always take alot but i think i am gonna take even more this time)

It is hard to believe we are under 180 days. I have a feeling this summer is going to go by fast.

I sure wish the cruise would hurry up and get here. We have added on 6 days at WDW when we get off the ship.... Our Debarkation day will be my son's 13th birthday! Since we are RCI members, I could not find a DVC resort to stay in this time, but we are staying at Wyndham's Bonnet Creek. I know it won't be as wonderful as "on property" but I have heard good things about it.

We have started working on some home-made FE gifts as well. I just hope I haven't taken anyone else's idea.....

I haven't had too much time on the boards lately. Are you hearing much about folks who have gotten off the Dream? Only thing I have read is the pool area is awfully small for the number of folks onboard.

one of my friends who was on the cruise with us sept of 09 was on the maiden voyage and she loved it and said she loved the pool they like us use the adult only pool and we dont actually swim we just use it to dip in and i think it will be fine for that. I cant wait to use the adult hot tubs they look pretty cool. I can't wait for the food either my friend said it is better than the wonder which i thought has good food but she said the variety is much better.
We are staying at the world before the cruise at AKL CL and after the cruise at ASMu for one night then flying home.
I'm having to do our FE's along with packing since we bought a new house

I haven't had too much time on the boards lately. Are you hearing much about folks who have gotten off the Dream?

I've actually made it a point for the Dream to not research anything about it. I know the general stuff, but I really want to be wowed. We are doing a 5 nighter in June, though (upon which I will hit Gold status - YAY), so I will be happy to report our experience as much (or as little) as everyone wants.

We have a very busy (but hopefully fun) weekend in store. We are going out on the town on Friday with our very best couple friends to celebrate the wife's birthday, and then on Saturday we are getting our kitchen re-painted. There is wallpaper in there now, so it is going to be such a huge difference. After the paint, we are going to get a new floor, so it should really make a big impact. I wish we could afford to redo the cabinets and countertops but maybe in a couple of years...

Anyway, I hope everyone has a great rest of the week, and a super weekend!

Hey all my DREAMER’S just checking on you guys I hope everyone is enjoying the weekend! Has anyone booked the Dream for next year? I was excited when Disney came out with the 2012 dates but I was not to happy at the cost especially the cost for the Fantasy! I think that we may have to jump on RCCL’s Allure of the Seas will anyways talk to you guys later.
