September 22-25, 2011 Disney Dream Cruise

We are first time Disney cruisers. There seems to be some very experienced Disney cruisers on this Board so I have a few questions. Does anyone know if there is a sauna and steam room in the locker rooms of the exercise facility? How about a Thermal area? I can't tell from the deck plans or discription.

What are the details for the gift exchange? It appears people have a lot of fun with it but I don't fully understand how it works.

I hope everyone had a great christmas we spent ours in the Hospital my husband went in on Christmas Eve and didn't get out until the 28th he had to have his gall bladder taken out day after Christmas and the day after that he had to go back for a second procedure and of course it had to happen on Georgia's first white Christmas in our life and he (who has always wanted a white Christmas) didnt get to enjoy it at all.
Whenever y'all get your room assignments (if you dont have them) or if you do just send them to me along with all the names of the people in your cabin i have already started a list for the FE gift exchange that way we will know who is where. Did anyone see it come in to Port Canaveral? I watched the youtube videos I CANT WAIT!!!!!!!

disney honeymooners, I just sent you a PM with our info.

We are back from our Christmas day cruise on Carnival. We had cold, windy weather with rough seas for the first 3 days, but the last 2 were warmer and calmer. Only had one in our party of 10 get sick, but several of us felt funny. Thank the Lord for Bonine and Sea Bands. I can attest to both.

I'm not sure I want to do a winter Bahamas cruise again. Maybe further south would be warmer, but we had to buy sweatshirts in Nassau.

We got so much snow last night my poor car is covered and i cant even see our driveway or the road past our house i am glad that they decided to close my work because there was no way i was gonna be able to get out. How is everyone else doing?

We're doing a b2b cruise this will be our second leg. The first is the DVC Members Cruise. Going will be myself, compltely Disney obsessed and 3 of my goddaughters, ages 5 and 10 year old twins. This is my first Disney Cruise although I've been on other cruiselines before. However, this is the girls' first cruise and I'm keeping it a surprise. We're going a two day early also a surprise, I'm hoping they won't figure out we're going on the cruise until we get on the bus to the port. I'm so excited.
I really want to participate in the fish extender on this cruise as well.
Our cabin is 7104
There's: Liza (me!), Kayla (10), Korryn (10), and Maya (5). Can't wait!

Liza, I tried so hard to get on the members' cruise for this year (we were planning on doing a B2B too). Sadly, I couldn't get through on the phone to book it, so we are doing a land/sea instead. Since DD gets this week off of school every September, I'm hopeful that the members' cruise will be the same week next year and maybe we can get on it. Either way, glad to have you aboard!

I did get it, Hon, and I'm so sorry I haven't responded yet. I've been swamped, swamped, swamped at work and have been working nights and weekends since we got back from our Christmas trip. I started calling when the lines opened and didn't get through until at least after 1pm and then was on hold for over an hour! When I finally get a live person, the only cabins they had left were the deluxe family ocean with veranda. I can't belive that I got through myself. I missed it last year because I had the date wrong. Silly me. I call DVC to book a week later and I think the cast member laughed at me!

I can't wait to do the fish extender. I just purchased one from ebay! Yay!

I'm so excited, it seems like September is so far away...I'm sure it will be worth the wait. We're staying at Pop Century 2 nights before. I've gotta get my Epcot and Tower of Terror fix. Now I'm unsure of what 2 parks to go to because I really want to see the new thing they're doing with the castle at night and I adore Wishes! Decisions...decisions.

Yup - we are definitely a "go" for the FE. I will get you my information tonight (gee, have you heard that one before?). I spend all day working on the computer so the last thing I want to do when I get home is log back on, so that's my excuse for neglecting my DIS duties. Since our confirmation is at home, I just don't think about it. BUT, I will get it to you tonight.

Happy Friday everyone! Well, we made our DVC reservations for our park stay before the cruise. We'll be staying at the Beach Club (villas) from the 17-22. Anyone else doing the park thing before the cruise? Have a great weekend, everyone!

We're doing a B2B cruise with the DVC Members Cruise from the 18th to the 22nd. We're coming in on the 16th and staying at Pop for 2 nights before the first cruise though. Not enought time in WDW but it will have to do!
