Now that we have all stateroom #s for the FE exchange, I've updated my map it's organized by forward, midship, and aft sections.

I've made a second map by deck.

And I can't wait for nenner1's map too. So for the directionally challenged, like me, there's hope. I'll likely print all 3 types of maps.
CiCi you are the best! This is
perfect because in making the PDF I have come to the realization that it won't be able to be printed. In order to keep the resolution high enough to read when zoomed in, I had to make the base document size larger than 8x10 (which shouldn't matter on a mobile device...but that would make what I made impossible to print! So we have it covered from every direction!
Although I was going to use your full deck maps to double check mine and make sure I have no mistakes but it won't let me see them- Google Docs says I don't have permission.
So for you folks looking for that PDF I hope to have it up before I go to work tonight. I want to get it proofread (by my mistake catcher extraordinaire Ron) and try loading it on my ipad before I post it for download to make sure there aren't any bugs in it!

So if not tonight it should be up tomorrow.
Now...on to our pre-cruise meet. This is Friday 9-21 at Fishlips at Port Canaveral. We (Ron and I) hadn't come to a set conclusion on what time to meet. The feedback I've gotten from others so far is pretty much "anything goes". We had decided that it might be around 7:30 PM...but we are very flexible on that time and now might be looking a little earlier for a reason I am going to express below.
This is where I would love some input from everyone- especially those that have had a meet at Fishlips before (last time our meet was at Grills down the road/canal). If you are planning to meet, do you want to eat a full meal? Should we make a regular table reservation or should we just meet out at the Tiki Bar (outside deck) (you can do that, right?)
I am now thinking that we might want to go a bit earlier so it is still light outside. I have been told by the owner of the Port Canaveral Webcam that he is going to begin Tiki Bar waves at Fishlips. What that means is if you are at Fishlips he will zoom the webcam in on you and you can wave to friends and family watching.
I asked but did not get a direct answer as to what time that is or how to go about it. So I can't promise we can make it happen for our group but I am thinking maybe we might want to back the time up just a bit earlier so there will still be light for the camera to see us (sunset for 9/21 in PC is 7:20 PM). I am thinking at least a whole hour earlier. And I am not 100% sure if he even does the Tiki Waves at different times than the sailaways (RCCL's Monarch leaves at 4 PM)...so it may be a moot point anyway. But I thought I'd throw it out there for us all to mull over.
And for those who aren't aware,
Portcanaveralwebcam.com shows the ships leaving port. They do often quickly zoom across the top rail and show the folks there as you are sailing out. They do not yet take requests to zoom into specific people at Port Canaveral
BUT if you want to be caught on camera, stand on the top deck starboard side and you hava a good chance. (Those with banners, signs or flags usually get a longer pause). If you tune in around 4 PM today you can see the Dream leaving! (you can hear the horns and everything!)
They also post videos to
Youtube of the sailaways which is REALLY cool! I love watching our old ones (we have done this twice at Port Everglades- the webcam at Port Canaveral is new since our last
Disney Cruise!) Here is our video from last year- you can see us at 2:22 (that's us behind the big banner):

So you can see how much fun that is! Like I said they do not zoom in and spend a lot of time on people at Port Canaveral - yet - but you can see if you watch some of the Fantasy sailaways they definitely get close enough as they pan across the deck.
Just a little tidbit I thought I'd share!
Let me hear your opinions on the Fishlips meet- what time- meal or just drinks, etc. And those who have met there before let me know how it went for you! Thanks!!!
