Only 13 Saturdays to go until we sail!

We told the kids on Wednesday night. :-) Today they were checking out the excursions and made their list. Now we need to finalize with DH.

I am gone all day tomorrow (heading to NYC to see "Newsies"!) so I need to know what I am trying to book when I get up at O'Dark 30 to start booking things!

Here is the list:

St. Maarten:
Golden Eagle Catamaran OR
Family Fun Beach & Nature Walk

St. Thomas:
Skyride to Paradise Pier
Kadak, Hike & Snorkel at Cas Cay (just DS and me I believe)

Castaway Cay:
Aqua Trikes
Bikes

Now, remind me of when I can do checkin and excursions? Is it midnight (Eastern)???

You can book excursions at midnight (or one second after!) and but check-in is not usually available until about 3AM.

What's this about a 5k? Does anyone have any details about that? (I'm assuming that its on the Island....)

3 months till sail day!!!!
Getting all exhited just thinking about it!

One thing that I learned on the last cruise that I would like to share, and its something that I will not repeat this time around: Do your homework BEFORE you go on vacation! I had the added stress of working on 2 masters classes following me around both Disney Land AND the cruise.
Will not happen this time!

We don't have a solid wish list quite yet...husband wants to do the scuba diving thing, kid wants to do the submarine/park thing again, and I want to do is sit up on the deck and drink my caffe latte with no one bothering me and no dishes to wash!
Oh and Palo on formal night.... :-) Hubby is bringing his military dress uniform again...I don't think he's pleased about that, but he looks so handsome in it!

Our Wish List

Couples Massage
Palo Brunch
St. Maarten - Under Two Flags Island Tour
St. Thomas - Skyride to Paradise Point
CC - CC Getaway Package

Getting so excited to book everything! Ill be counting down the hours Saturday night. :yay:

So we can book excursions/Palo/BBB without having to be "checked in"? I wasn't sure if we had to check in first, then book our stuff.

Do they do Tea with Alice on the fantasy??

I know that we did Tea with Alice on the Magic, and I've heard they do a Tea on the Fantasy. But it's either Alice or a Princess...I'll have to peruse the posted Navigators :)

Shannon, we did the Skyride on St. Thomas on our honeymoon! Beautiful views!

Thanks for the timing reminders. I knew something was a midnight (Eastern) and something was at 3:00 am (Eastern), but couldn't remember which was which.

I find it odd that you can book excursions before you are checked in.

Anyhow...we have a new list of things we are doing (or want to do)

St. Maarten:
Bernard's Tour with the beach (emailed him and they can do a more family friendly beach rather than Orient)

St. Thomas:
St. John Champagne Catamaran Sail & Snorkel
Skyride to Paradise Point (we may do this on our own in case we don't have enough time)

Castaway Cay:
Aqua Trikes
Kayak
Bikes

We had a bunch of other options (as you saw in my post above) but after further research we all agreed on these (even DH!).

DD put it all on her whiteboard easel which is now in the living room, just in case we forget :thumbsup2

I am ready to head off to the big city to see "Newsies"...can't wait, saw one of the numbers on the Tony Awards and am excited to see it in person. Just another little Disney fix for me!

And I love that my ticker has less than 3 months on it!!!

My friend and I going have said all along we werent going to do Palo because it's just a nice restaurant and we can get that anywhere... we wanted to focus on other things but so many of y'all are wanting reservations for Palo it makes me wonder if this is something we really should check out? How much is it a person to eat at Palo's?

I would do Palo...it really is a very nice dinner experience. Customer service is superb, food is excellent...I think it's only $20 a person. We are definitely doing it :)

We are also doing a family friendly tour with Bernard...maybe we will be together!

I would like to go to paradise point as well...not sure if the whole family will get their money's worth. We are going to try the Kontiki sightseeing cruise, and maybe there will be time afterward for the sky ride. Do you know the cost difference between the DCL excursion and doing it on your own?

Counting down the 15 minutes until June 24th so we can start booking! Hoping to get the Palo brunch and Palo/Remy dinners!

Happy booking everybody!

:cool1::cool1:: very happy with reservations!!! Got BBB mermaid package for dd and her friend at 10am Sunday(they'll be made up before the princess gathering) Palo dinner reservations for 6:30 Monday, Pirates Leauge maiden package for the girls at 6:15 tues., Palo brunch 11:00 Thursday...so very happy with these and that it was so easy to be linked with our friends. I already knew that the cabanas on CC were sold out but I am pretty diligent about checking and hope the pixie dust from last year will get us one again..Can't wait to hear what all of you are doing!!!

:cheer2:
Palo Brunch at 10am on Monday
BBB for both girls at 1:45pm on Thursday

:confused3
Was hoping to book the Kon Tiki on the St. Thomas day Wednesday, but its not showing...at all. Not as sold out, just not listed. I know we had discussed it before, and Alisia had actually talked to her concierge staff about it to check times. I am going to try to hide from the kids and call DCL tomorrow to get the scoop on that one.

Might be looking for a backup plan for our family on that day. We will want to do something all together...kids are 4 and 7, so the DCL excursions are limited. Anyone have plans they want to share, just in case?
