September 22, 2007 -- WESTERN

I just bought a new swim suit for the Magic! Sorry...there won't be any 'magic' happening in my new suit! :rotfl: It is funny how they make swim suits for just one body type: perfect! It had been about 15 years since I bought a new swim suit so I thought it was about time. Too bad you can't swim in a moo moo, :lmao: It is funny how when you buy a swim suit you psych yourself out into thinking: None of these people are looking at me..none of these people will ever see me again. :rolleyes1

Karen was is MNSSHP? I am looking forward to EPCOT's wine and food festival as well. The selection of food and the drink are wonderful.

Oh my gosh Mike! Sounds like you need to go back to the old fashioned horse and buggy. No key fob needed! Just a bushel of hay and a shovel! ;)

On a side note: I am very excited for May 25 to come around! I love Pirates! pirate: Can't wait! Love Capt. Jack Sparrow:cool1:

Hope all of you are well?

Dh ordered my swim suits just last night... I handed him my credit card.... I think that was a mistake!!!:scared1: He ordered my new wishfull thinking suit! And lord knows what else he bought!

POTC3 I cant wait! Gotta be the first to see it.:woohoo: Kick back with my popcorn and my slurpie and Im a happy camper!popcorn::

I've got to get myself a couple of new ones too. I've seen some quite interesting bulge-disguising ones in the Lands End catalogue - might be worth a look. It's always a stressful moment when you try it on and don't look quite the bathing beauty you'd hoped. :lmao: I hate all the other stuff you have to do too - ie: keeping legs and bikini area fuzz-free! It's just so flippin' high maintenance...

It's Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom! All the characters (and a lot of the guests) are dressed up, there's trick or treating, the Headless Horseman rides thro' and Wishes becomes Hallowishes!!! It all sounds fab - DD and I are going on October 8th so it's still on at the same time as the F&W which is going to be the highlight of our trip... :thumbsup2

Same here! :woohoo:

No Speedo's on this body:lmao: May have to go to Crown Tent and Awning company to get one made, with the wide load sign on the back:rotfl2: :rotfl:

Hope that everyone is having a great day.

Checked the Segway tour out, and I am just a little too heavy for it. Maybe I can use two, one for each leg and foot.:rotfl:

Another day closer to the cruise. Come on September.:woohoo: Mike

Ever wonder how much better customer service would be if we charged them for our time waiting? i.e. like at docs office i told doctor he owed me so much money of my salary since i had to wait to see him. I hate having to wait for an appt whether that's car related, doc/medical related etc... if you give me a time to be there, then i expect to be seen or taken care of at that time. not hours later <G>

Amen!

Wish that the Fisher Museum was open on Sundays at Key West. Sure would like to see the treasure from the Atocha. Mike

Good morning cruise-mates! Hope you're all having a good day...:grouphug:

A somewhat dull day here in South East London - but I'm thinking about sipping a Konk Kooler on Serenity Bay so not too fussed... :beach:

We've got DS13's Parents Evening later, where we speak to his teachers about his progress - DH and I tend to double-team it and whizz thro' those appointments separately so we can escape before the Headmaster's speech! :lmao: It's time for DS to make his subject choices for a set of exams called GCSEs that kids take in the UK at around 15. He's all set as we've discussed the options with him weeks ago. He's a clever so-and-so and is taking French and Mathematics a year early which will make his overall workload easier. I think he's studying 11 subjects in total - poor kid! I was hopeless at exams and I always feel fearful on my offsprings behalf when I know they've got them coming up. Eldest DS21 is currently studying for his finals at Uni and I've woken up a few times in the middle of the night worrying about him! Once a Mother always a Mother, I guess... :goodvibes

Finally started my vacation clothes shopping yesterday - got a couple of floaty kaftan style tops for wearing around the pool over swimwear and/or with leggings or cropped jeans. Looked at swimwear but nothing blew me away plus I'm still hoping lose a few pounds before I commit to that. Saw some gorgeous dresses for the VR - but I think I'll leave that till nearer the time too. I did like this one especially - it's covered in bugle beads and very pretty...

Mike, the Atocha treasure sounds very cool - had a look on the website and it says the Museum's open 365 days of the year so maybe you're in luck... :thumbsup2

Mike, We visited the Fisher about 3 or 4 years ago. It is an awesome place and well worth any time spent there. When we were there one of the workers, I think she was a volunteer, had participated in the search. Her story was fascinating. Really a must see if you visit Key West.
If it's open we will visit again.

JR

We will put the museum on our to do list while in Key West. Another day closer to meeting all of our new friends. Mike

Oh no! :scared1: Did someone mention buying a swimsuit?!?!?!?!?!?! :scared1:

I'm with you, Karen! Ten more pounds and I will start the hunt. Well, I may look. But I won't be trying it on. Although DMIL said I should do like the "Itsy - Bitsy, Teeny - Weeny, Yellow Polka Dot Bikini" commercial and buy one a size too small to encourage me to take off the last 16 pounds. Hmm, seems good in theory. :rotfl: I sure hope that all the cute clothes aren't gone by the time that I lose this weight!

Swimsuits :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I am with going to Outdoor Bass world to find a tent. really though I have two suits but I wear a tshirt and shorts over the suits at all times :rotfl: I wish i could lose weight but unless i just totally stopped eating doubt that is going to happen :goodvibes

Good luck with your pounding off the pounds Eva :cheer2: :cheer2:

Ok this has nothing to do with cruising but is exciting for me. The contractors finished the sidewalk yesterday. The ramp arrived today. Contractors will be here early in the morning to install the ramp, complete extending door landing.

I then can use my new power chair out of the house HOORAY.

I have a loaner conversion, which will allow me to use the power chair for work, shopping and to visit WDW Friday night for dinner and Epcot.

Van company is coming Monday to pick up my chair, take it to their shop in Tampa. They will install lock down system for chair, return MY van and chair by Wed, or Thurs. Just in time for me to use MY new van, and chair for three days at POP and WDW with friends that are coming from out of state to visit. HOORAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Finally it feels like things are coming together after starting this process with Voc Rehab and insurance in Dec 06.

And of course will have my van and chair to use for June cruise !!!!! Then again in Sept !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ok i send you back to regular programing of the Magical Memory Tour 2007

That's one motivational tactic that I'm sure wouldn't work for me - the pressure would be just sooo stressful!!!
...I sure hope that all the cute clothes aren't gone by the time that I lose this weight!
That's my worry too - so much summer stuff is in the stores already and I don't want to be left with the dregs come August...

Had both grand daughters today. Sure does make an old man even older in a short time. Love them to death, but glad to see them go home.:rotfl: Mike

thanks Mike

I know you must enjoy the time with the grandkids, but also can imagine how they can wear a person out. Any recent pics of them to share?

And what about pic of the new car?

Mike, It sure sounds like those granddaughters spend a lot of time with grandpa. Mine is spending the night with me Saturday. She is a bit over 18 months and full of energy. Maybe I will work a bit more of that weight off chasing her around. Plus, I have the Race for the Cure Saturday morning.
