September 22, 2007 -- WESTERN

Well, if you are going to offer free beer.........you have to expect a major party to break out!:jumping1:

You are so right!!!! :goodvibes :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

And now I'm off to bed as it's gone midnight here... Tonight I'm very excited - not sure I'll sleep... Just can't believe after all these months we're almost boarding... :cloud9:

Hi folks:thumbsup2

Only excursion we have booked is the Tullum Ruins in Cozumel. Everything elso were not sure yet.

Had our pool closed today for the season. Very sad:scared: The fall colours have started here. Very pretty, but that just means winter is around the corner. Well we'll just have to swim in Mickey's pool for now.

I could wear my Rams jersey, but then I'd really get made fun of.:rotfl2:
JMHO: If you haven't made plans yet for GC I highly recommend you check out captainmarvins.com They run excellent snorkeling and stingray trips with small groups at 1/2 the cost of the ships excursions. My teenage son said it was just like on the Discovery Channel, only we were there! Aside from mountain biking in St. Lucia, he said it's the best excursion we've done. OK enuf plugging for CM.
This cruise: No Kids:woohoo: =No Excursions
KW=Bar, GC=7 Mile Beach, Cozumel=Paradise Beach, CC= Bar/Beach:thumbsup2

Hey gang... been lurking and reading...

Meeting up with FatCat and his band of warriors on Sunday for a baseball game so we can get to know each other before embarking!

As for excursions, we're just hanging out at beaches unless someone has something that is a "can't be missed" for a 4 yr. old. She seems to just relish digging in the sand...

Any beaches people would/would not recommend we go on our shore days?

Ben, Jenny and Lily (DD4)

8 Days! 8 Days! 8 Days!

I can't believe that we will be backing the car out of the drive in just 6 DAYS!!!!

And this time next week, DH and I should be up in the skies, sipping a Bellini... :goodvibes

How's everyone's planning coming along??? We're no nearer starting packing but DH will definitely be retrieving the cases from the attic tomorrow so I guess we'll start then! Hope to fit in a little retail therapy on Saturday/Sunday - DH needs a bunch of stuff and I can always shop! ;)

This time last week I felt more than a little anxious about all the stuff on my "To Do" list but now I just feel excited - it's going to be fab-u-lous!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

LOL ;) I almost forgot the refillable beer mugs :lmao:
REFILLABLE BEER MUG IS music to my ears!!!

I called yesterday to get on the waiting list for the "Main" Dinner seating and they said we were already on it. So one less thing to worry about, and the kids will hopefully be able to enjoy dinner at thier normal time.

We have a big weekend planned, pulling down suitcases and organizing what we need for all the activities.

We are planning to just do the Trolley in KW, and pick random places

GC we are going to relax at Sea Grape beach.

Still trying to decide what to do on Cozemal.

DDs are very excited. As I am !!!

So where is everyone's Hangout?

Signals?
Rockin D Bar?
Quiet Cove?
Deck 4 comfy chairs?
Secret Outlooks?

I think I am going to see a majority of the shows.
Then help put the 2 DD's to bed.

And if I do not pass out FatCat may be seen wandering the decks.

All of the above. During the day, we're usually by the pool with a break here and there for tastings and such. Late day and early evening you will usually find us in the Promenade Lounge, Sessions, Diversions, or Studio Sea. After dinner we normally hit Rockin Bar D. But on Sunday we will probably be in Diversions watching the Cowboys kick some........ Unless they have Match Your Mate that night. If they have that on Sunday, We will have to forgo some of the game.

Had a long day today. Kathy had been having chest pains and we went and she had a cardiac catheterization done in the cardiac cath lab. The fluoroscope had broken and we had to wait 6 hours for the technicians to come and fix it. We arrived at the hospital at 6 am and did not leave until 6 pm tonight. Everything turned out fine with her heart. Had to get this girl and tune up and an oil change, before we cruised.:thumbsup2 Mike

Mike good to hear Kathy's heart is fine!!!!

Ok all i have left to do (at least think so) is to iron and pack clothes, pack meds and toiletries in carry-on. Oh need to iron on logo for cruise onto lime green tshirt. The logo is printed just haven't ironed it on yet.

Minnie is packed. Other essential items are packed. Door signs have been printed. So folling duffel bag is full to it's gills. Large suitcase will hold clothes (well I hope will hold them all <G>).

Looking forward to meeting some at the Residence Inn Friday night. If want or need my cell number private message and I will give it to you if needed to link up there. I will be hard to miss if strolling around as I will be in a red electric/power chair.

So let's get cruisin'

i am not getting notifications of new post anyone else having this difficulty?

Mike, I am glad Kathy's heart is fine. Sounds like she is getting too excited about the cruise.....Soon!!!!

We are also DVC members, however on the past 2 cruises we have missed the DVC meet. I am not sure what we were doing, but they just slipped my mind. I am sure it had NOTHING to do with the Miami Vice's!

Bears fans - count us in!!!! I will be trying to get to Diversions for the game too. We are huge fans!!! GO BEARS!!!!

For excursions, Key West - just some sightseeing and Margaritaville; Grand Cayman - Captain Marvins and sightseeing;Cozumel - Catamaran and Beach Excursion.

One week from today we will be sittiing in Disney waiting to board the next day!!:yay: :yay:

We will be there for the 3:00 meet & greet and I am planning to do the Margarita/Tequila tour. Yum!!!

See you all soon!

Kathy

Chris, that's awesome!!! I had heard about this before, but hadn't actually HEARD it - thanks for sharing! My office had our annual "benefits briefing" yesterday, and HR added sound to the slides - on the one for vacation accrual, they had a drawing of a cruise ship and a ship's horn for the sound - they said they did that JUST for me, since everyone in my office knows we'll be cruising soon! I copied your link and sent it to our HR ladies:cool1:

Karen, we have luggage sitting in the spare bedroom, and piles of clothes and things on the bed, but haven't actually started putting them together yet! :rotfl: That is this weekend's task! Labor Day weekend I tried on every single thing, and made "yes" and "no" piles. Bob and I got strict again with our diets, to give ourselves a little breathing room and make sure these clothes still fit well by the END of the cruise - including for our dinner date at V&A on the Thursday after the cruise

Mike, Sorry Kathy had to go through that - and glad all is well!

Can't wait to meet everyone - work is FINALLY winding down, as my boss and others understand this vacation is a reality ... I reminded him a few days ago this is only the second time in 15 years I've taken two whole weeks off all at once ... the first time was to clean out my mother's house and have an estate sale 6 years ago, definitely not a vacation!

Let's CRUISE!!!!!!!!!!

8 Days! 8 Days! 8 Days!

I can't believe that we will be backing the car out of the drive in just 6 DAYS!!!!

Eva, We're leaving on Thursday too - around noon we hope! We might stop in SC to visit a dear friend who's in a nursing home there, depending on what time we get to the area Thursday or Friday, then Friday the rest of the way to Port Canaveral. We're also staying at the Raddison - I think that's where you said you and Steve are staying?

Can't wait to be on the road!!:dance3:  :yay: :goodvibes :cool1:

Mike, so glad Kathy's heart is good shape! What a relief...

FatCat, love the link - I've watched it so many times now... :cloud9:
