September 2016 Trip Thread!!!!

I would love to drive to DLR. We have a fun new car but just dont have the off time to spend several days driving so we have to fly.

Have a great road tirp!

Thanks! I am in Nor Cal so it's only about 5 1/2 hours for us!

So, this trip I decided that I want to try some casual Disbounding outfits...anyone else doing this?

Yes! I am!! Saturday I have a Little Mermaid outfit, Sunday is a Minnie Mouse one and Monday will be Haunted Mansion! I had a skirt made with the wallpaper print.

Post pics!

I'm going for a very casual disbounding, jean shorts with a shirt, hair bow and some accessories. I have Pocahontas and Snow White all done but I am still working on Little Town Belle.

Hey, I have a question for all you September visitors! We usually plan our summer visits at the end of June early July, avoiding the fourth. Next summer we have the opportunity to go after Labor Day, probably the second week. I've never been to Disneyland during mid September. I'm trying to figure out whether the shorter hours and smaller crowds are a better option than bigger crowds with extended hours that we are used to in June/July. And I worry about heat. I wondered if a few of you could share your mid September observations if you've been this time of year before. I'm figuring if you're visiting this September you might have done this time of year previously. Thanks!!!

We have been mid September once before and it was definitely our hottest trip! We've been at the end of August three times so we have that heat to compare to.

We chose September this time because we were not able to get away in August this year but also because it is fun to see the hallowe'en decorations. The last time we went in September the short hours did not bother us at all but now that our son is older and can stay up later, we might miss the earlier openings and later closings.

If you are looking at September, I woulD definitely plan on after the start of hallowe'en time but not he first few days because those can be crazy busy! Our September trip has us arriving on the first day of the hallowe'en celebrations but also on Friday the 13th which made for some insane crowds!

It can get hot. It can also be chilly at night. Crowd wise, it's a crap shoot. Mornings and early afternoon tend to be pretty good but evenings can get crowded. We go every year in middle September ~ early November.

What night and if it is anytime from Sept 17-20, do you have room for three more? :D

The 16th. Friends of my wife have the membership and this is our anniversary present from them. Last year we got to go for lunch.

I was mostly joking! (Although if you had said yes, I would not have turned you down!) :D

Just checked into Camelot Inn and Suites, got a great deal on Hotel Tonight last week Fri- Mon for $114 / night and we have a lovely king mini suite!!

Very quiet in back and very efficient and friendly check in even at 1:45am! Our first stay here and already very happy. Also snagged an 8:40am Minnie and Friends Breakfast for Sunday morning woot woot!

We'll be back for our first Haloween party from Sept. 29th - Oct2nd too :)
